Devonport Chocolates specialise in making their own chocolates, truffles and chocolate bars. Their chocolate creations are made using Callebaut coverture chocolate and are finished with the greatest care and delight by thier team of chocolatiers.

History

Established in 1991.

Established in 1991 Devonport Chocolates is a family business. Starting out as just a wholesale business targeting gift shops Devonport Chocolates originally had only one product, the Devonport Chocolates Truffle Log. This delightful chocolate creation has recently had a makeover and is now only made with the finest ingredients and is called a Truffle Slice. In 2000 Devonport Chocolates moved its premises back to Devonport and opened their first retail store. Devonport Chocolates now has three stores in Auckland. Their flagship store is in Devonport where you can view the delicious chocolates being made through a viewing window. You can also find them in Auckland’s CBD in Queens Arcade and in Ponsonby at the Franklin Road intersection.

Devonport Chocolates in a family business. In 1999 when the Everitt family purchased Devonport Chocolates Stephanie took herself off to chocolate school and learnt how to make the delicious chocolates and truffles that extended the Devonport Chocolates range from the one product (Truffle Logs) that it previously made.

Caroline is the daughter of Steph and Terry and joined the family business in 2001 to open their first retail shop in Devonport.

Terry joined the business later on when he felt he needed a career change from insurance!
