History

Established in 2000.

Kiwi Valley was created by the Park family. Larry & Kathy & their 3 children spent over 17 years living a mobile lifestyle including 12 years developing and operating «Old MacDonald’s Travelling Farmyard» and were seen by many folk in Auckland and throughout New Zealand with their animal menagerie. Many children experienced their first ever pony ride with Old MacDonald. Kiwi Valley is now a leading attraction for Waitakere City offering a «hands on» Country Experience.

We took my cousins here about a year ago, and we had a really great time. There’s heaps to do, heaps to see, and it’s extremely cheap for what it is. Walk around the farm (which is huge) and see all types of farm animals; goats, pigs, a donkey, cows, chickens, etc etc. There’s a rabbit house where you can go in and hold the bunnies, and sometimes they have bunnies to purchase. The donkey was definitely the highlight for us. You can go horse riding, which is included in the entry price, and go on a tractor ride around the farm. The staff are all friendly farm hands. There’s a hay maze too which is fun. You can get feed too to feed the animals, which is especially fun for the young kids. It’s open every day in the holidays.
