It’s a sort of fast food vibe … It’s also burgers with very little options … … DAY-UM was I delicious. One of the best meals I had in Auckland. As you can tell by the pictures, it was not just a «thrown together» burger. There are attentions to specific ingredients to compile a Burger worthy of the mighty Cthulhu. Cthulhu would come up to the shore and head straight here and be like«day-um … that is a good burger.» yes. Worthy of H.P. Lovecraft levels of epicness.

Taste is a funny thing, its relative and what is superb and mouth watering to one person, may be spitting and cursing to another. We started our Muder Burger experience with a leaking aircon unit and a long wait. Once the food arrived, it got a lot better, I had the Malaysian Satay burger and I have to say that while it was simple, it was delicious. The quality of the meat was good, the ingredients were fresh and the taste was(to me) a long lasting nice one that stayed on the tongue. After the meal, one of the staff came up and apologised for the wait and offered us a drink from the fridge to compensate, it was a good gesture and I left feeling positive about Murder Burger’s service. The location is difficult as its a stone’s throw from the more established burger fuel, and opposite the Dominion(who was making a play for the lunch market in the area) but I feel that Murder Burger stands on its own against it’s increasingly more commercialised business opponents. I will be back.

A guy my work claims Murder Burger is the best burger he’s eaten. Ever. I enjoyed it, but I wouldn’t go that far. To be fair, we did take our burgers out into a rainy night and drive them home to be eaten, and the were yummy, but not the best I’ve had. My creole burger had some punchy creole mayo and an onion ring which sadly was a big soggy following the drive home. It’s nice to have a burger joint out in the burbs though, so I think next time we’ll eat in and give it a fair shot. (And the guy from work took some colleagues along and they agreed it was one of the best burgers they’d ever had).

Me and the Saucey One had grabone vouchers for two burgers and two large milkshakes. Firstly the staff were attentive, they came around checking with people who were waiting for their orders. I ordered the mushroom burger — was absolutely delicious! The mushroom sauce was thick and creamy while the mushrooms were big and juicy, I believe they were fresh mushrooms and not those canned ones. The beef patties were seasoned well and cooked well — it wasn’t overcooked, dry or rubbery. Their onion rings are way better than Carl’s Jr and burger king. Will definitely become a regular if it wasn’t so far from my house.

I am a huge burger fan. This place just sucks. Popped on tonight for the first time, was extremely disappointed. Burger fuel in my opinion has declining standards but they are in a class above this place. Frozen onion rings with virtually no onion. I couldn’t even stomach their beef patties. And their signature sauce? My own vomit tastes better to be honest.

Average burgers. Why would you open up across the road from Burger Fuel unless you were brilliant? Does not bode well for Murder Burger here.
