Firstly, I struggle in this store because I find the scent so intoxicating and strong I can hardly breath and certainly can’t focus on shopping for expensive pyjamas. I do appreciate a nice smell and I see how it can be a drawing card for some shoppers but for me this is just too much! The smell to oxygen ratio is hugely unbalanced. Now… expensive pyjamas… I think the only acceptable time to be spending large amounts of money on pyjamas is when buying gifts. I think they’re a good enough gift for someone you don’t know very well but could also be a pretty cute gift for a family member or girlfriend. Spending lots of money on your own pyjamas — just wrong! So by all means check it out. You might need a gas mask and a small loan for un necessary items but it could be worth the visit.

Peter Alexander is worth a visit if you’re doing the High Street shops anyway, but it’s not a must-see. Like all the other branches, it has the glorious scent of Glasshouse perfumed candles wafting out of it, and unlike other branches, it has a good range of stock, and isn’t jammed away in the middle of a hectic shopping mall. On the other hand, I’ve had much better service at other branches of Peter Alexander. The High Street staff have on occasion, only greeted me as I walked out the door(fail!), and not been especially welcoming at other times. I expect to be smiled at with teeth if Im going to be tempted to spend $ 80 on pajamas. Still, it’s a nice enough shopping experience if you like Peter Alexander style, which I do. If you really want to stock up on sleepwear, I’d suggest checking out the Peter Alexander outlet store at Dressmart and saving yourself a packet at the same time.
