Being from Brum in the UK, I know a good curry and this is the best I’ve had in this part of the world.
The mini banquet is great value for money, no only do you get two delicious starts but you can pick any two dishes for your mains, two naan bread and they even throw in an extra cheeky naan bread when you spend over $ 35.
More often than not, my wife and I chose the chicken sagwala and chicken tikka masala, both of which are delicious.
You really cannot fault the service at The Curry Village. I have been a fan of this place for quite a few years and despite the change of staff over that time, the service has always been of the highest order.
There are a few tables to dine in if you wish, but we always take away, even if that does mean completing a round trip from Papatoetoe before we can get stuck into the delicious food :)

This ordinary shop frontage on the mighty Hillsborough Road is home to a great little Indian takeaway, some seating available in the restaurant if you really wanted to eat in.
Owner operators Kusmakhar Bhattarai and his wife Tikakala moved here from Nepal in the early 2000s run this business and they know their Indian cuisine. They are hard workers and are really proud to serve up authentic Indian flavours, along with Nepalese specialties which are made to order.
What adds to the authenticity is that their Tandoori oven has been imported directly from India so this ensures the Naan bread is cooked to perfection — I can vouch for that; and that the Tandoor dishes are tasty.
