Really nice staff, very patient and kind .
A work mate had a fight with a hedge trimmer and went here .
Waiting time was normal 15 – 20 min to see the nurse then 30min to see the doctor on duty.. Clean reception with some kids toys in the corner .
Lots of info around and a pleasant experience.

The most painful thing that has ever happened to me was jamming the end of my finger in a car door. So that the car door was actually closed and my finger bone was crused. The doctor at White Cross informed me that there are a lot of nerve endings at the end of your fingers and the pain you get from finger injuries can become exaggerated. The pain wasn’t local to my finger, or even my hand, it was a full body throbbing, I couldn’t see straight. White Cross was busy when I arrived but they did there best, I was seen to fairly quickly.

I’ve only been here once and hopefully I’ll never go back (how often can you say that in a positive review?). I had stomach pains which turned out not to be life-​threatening, but still worth some heavy duty painkillers. The staff here were really reassuring and helpful, and the doctor I saw was very clear and patient when she explained things to me. Really any medical clinic is defined by its staff (drugs and bandages are all a much of a muchness, I assume), and the staff here are excellent, in my experience.
The only bad thing about this A&E is that they close at 8pm, which is really not that late. My girlfriend did something disastrous to her back playing netball (because playing netball ever will inevitably lead to terrible injury), but had to go all the way to Greenlane to get it looked at. I’d guess a lot of people hurt themselves after 8pm, if for no other reason than it’s often dark by then.

I just went to this accident and emergency the other night when I hurt my ankle at netball. I couldn’t walk so I had to call my friend to pick me up, and because my ankle looked quite bad and the pain was quite intense, I wanted to go to A & E. The St Lukes/​Morningside was the closest one to where I was, so off we went. They closed at 8 and I got there around 730, and I only had to wait for about fifteen minutes before the nurse saw me. She was really nice and gentle, and after her assessment she brought the doctor in, who did his own check. The nurse had to put my foot in a cast so I was there well after 8m, and I felt really bad because I could tell everyone wanted to go home But they were all really nice and the doctor was really informative and sympathised, which was nice. He was really informative and gave me lots of advice about what I’d need to do. Great service.
