Customkit Buildings is a New Zealand owned and operated company with two decades experience and supplies buildings throughout New Zealand. We are leaders in the design and supply of stunning, high quality, kitset, natural wooden homes.

Customkit offers a range of building options from the supply of shell only kitset packages where you can use your own builder, right through to using a Customkit Network Builder who can manage your project for you.

History

Established in 1993.

In 1993, what was to become Customkit Buildings was a one-​trick pony, a company that specialised in timber, delivering wood to those who would then create buildings.

Enter Michael Anselmi, an established carpenter who liked the look of the operation and, as a long time Franklin resident, its Pukekohe location. He saw the opportunity to add value to the pure timber range on offer.

The business began to specialise in barns, sheds and other lifestyle buildings, and barns with accommodation.

The challenge was for Customkit to become a company that people felt at home coming to talk about houses. Some said that this was a big move for a small business in Pukekohe, but twenty three years on Customkit has become a nationwide building company, that as evidence shows, owns the lifestyle housing space and niche in the marketplace.
