Pygmalion

Loved it, loved it, loved it. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by a very friendly staff. It was a rainy day so we settled in and started looking at the menu and wow everything looked great and vegetarian. We got a the potato leek soup which was just perfect. We also got one of the Thai curries it was delicious as well. I had the super burger — the roasted potatoes and aioli that was served with it was very tasty. In short if I go back to Bergen I am devotedly going back to Pygmalion. This place rocks.

Very friendly staff and a good variety on the menu. The kitchen closes at 10 even though they close their doors at 11 and the women helped us order quickly as we walked in at almost 10. Very good food and a quiet, cozy atmosphere at a reasonable price for the city.

Local pequeño, suficiente para que este lleno cuando tengas hambre. Un ambiente muy acogedor y unas hamburguesas impresionantes.

For those who are looking for a really cozy and affordable place to eat, then Pygmalion is the right place for you. They have an ecologic menu, the food is delicious and the staff are really nice. The atmosphere is really great, with candles and cozy wall decorations. You really feel like sitting in a living room with a nostalgic setting around you. If the weather is good, they have also an outdoor section with tables and chairs for you to enjoy both your meal and the weather.
The menu is as mentioned ecologic, and they have a lot of healthy and delicious choises. You for instance have yourself a delicious rye bread with brie cheese and bacon, or enjoy their awesome burger with home fired potatoes and aoli (which I highly reccomand — this is extreemly good). They also have a lot of desserts, and choosing one of the many crepes is not a bad choise — trust me.
The prices are as friendly as you can find on an ecologic restaurant in Norway. I strongly reccoomend to pay a visit to Pygmalion for a food experience you just have to try again.

This was a gem! My husband and I shared the pygmallion crepes and one of the rye. They were both awesome flavor combinations. The were also both very reasonably priced 139 nok and 79 nok respectively. Cute spot, a table outside would have been better though.

Just went in an ordered their super veggie burger– was very nice, good quality food all around, friendly ambiance and service. I will go back for dinner.

We went due to the recommendations but we didn’t enjoy the food very much. I had the crepes and my mum a Thai wok dish. It was packed full of people and I had high hopes…

Ich hatte in Pygmalion einen guten Burger und ein Getränk für 247 Kronen. Es war ein bisschen viel einer. zwar lecker würzigen, Mayo auf den Kartoffeln, doch das kann man ja beiseite schieben. Das Restaurant liegt an einen kleine Platz ganz in der Nähe des Fischmarktes, doch deutlich ruhiger.
Man wird zwar am Tisch bedient, muss aber die Bestellung am Tresen aufgeben und vorab bezahlen.

I am a pescetarian and after having enough fish for all three meal in Bergen, I wanted something vegetarian. I asked around and a few shop keepers recommended this store and it was tucked in a street opposite to fish market. I walked around a bit and found the place soon enough. Exterior did not look impressive but i was pleasantly surprised by the options and food i got there.
They are an organic café and prices are quite reasonable. I got a cappuccino to start my meal and it was delicious. I ordered the vegetarian salad and to my delight, it came with chunks of hot vegetarian protein that really filled me up. I had to cancel my side order :)
I finished my meal with a Chilivili — cappuccino w/​chocolate and chilli. It was very interesting creation and I really enjoyed it too. Great meal and quick service.
Service was good and fast. Not too friendly but not rude either. I knocked off a star for that… but great place for a vegetarian or anyone else who wants a good meal.
