I went rather late in the afternoon(15:30) but every seats were almost taken. They offered an extensive menu of traditional polish food from pierogi, bigos etc, but I opted for a half portion of potato pancake with goulash and golabki. The portion was big and it was too much for a solo diner to finish. My bill mounted to less than € 8 which I find incredibly cheap. The place itself is clean and cute. I recommend this place you’re around Karimierz.

Best place in Kraków by far. Great value, delicious and authentic Polish cuisine, and friendly staff. We came to eat during an odd time(3:30 pm) and yet this place was still so full that we had to be seated in the back of the basement. It’s got a nice homey vibe, and I wish we came to eat here more than trying other places in Kraków. We got the potato pancakes with goulash, pork tenderloin with creamy peppercorn sauce, strawberry and blueberry pierogis, and kompot. Split between two people, it cost us each $ 6 and we ended up stuffed to the brim. Really going to miss this place. It’s a must for any visit to Kraków.

Very nice place with typical polish food! We ate traditional dishes and it was really good! We ordered some beetroot soup served with dumplings. After that we ordered the typical«schabowy»: It’s a pork steak served with potatoes and cold salads. The potato pancakes are also traditional but they weren’t very tasty. The music was really bad and the restaurant quite empty. I don’t understand why because the food is good and the prices really low

This is one of those places where is extra difficult to get yourself a table, specially during weekends. By far one of the best polish restaurants. Very nice interior, fast service and great price making it real experience. As they recommend you can go with potato pancake and goulash. You add to that Zurek and kompot. It’s perfect Sunday lunch. As I said good luck with finding free table.

One of the cheapest and best traditional polish food places around. You might miss this if you don’t read polish but there is a lunch special on the board outside every day. 15zl with soup or 12.5 zl without soup. That’s like $ 3 – 4 for a filling great tasting meal. Insane.

This place offers simple and delicious polish food. Try the red beet soup, the black pudding or the potato dish with goulash. Lovely

We ate dinner here all three nights we were in Krakow. Everything we had was fantastic and very affordable. Comparable meals at Polish restaurants in the Detroit area would have been twice as expensive. The only negative was that I got lost walking there every night. Krakow has some confusing streets.

The husband and I loved this little restaurant hidden away near kazimierez. I had a wonderful cappuccino and the husband had a beer. We shared the golabki(cabbage roll) which was delicious(and I couldn’t find it anywhere else in Krakow for a decent price) and the blueberry nalesniki… More like a dessert topped with whipped cream, but so delicious! The prices were very fair. I would go back and I recommend you give it a shot too.

For any visitors’s looking for something on par with a diner/tavern in the states, this is your place. It has seriously great traditional home cooked Polish food, in a very laid back and casual atmosphere. My husband who is a Potato Pancake and Goulash Fanatic(Placki z Gulaszem) never misses a trip here when visiting K-town. They are seriously killer, and really well priced. In fact, everything I have tried here is excellent — freshly prepared, quickly served and copious(for EU standards) portions. Beer is also readily available, which is a must when eating any Polish meal, in my opinion. When in season(Summer mostly), be sure to order the Mizeria — fresh cucumbers topped with seasoned sour cream. It goes well with just about anything. From the main square, it is just about a 15 minute walk, and totally worth it.

I live across the street and have been coming here even when they used to be located on Miodowa for three years. I can honestly attest that even when I was back home in Los Angeles, I craved, really physically craved their tomato soup. Not to also mention the almond chicken, pierogi, nalesniki, golabki. If you ever have a real hankering for home-style Polish food for real local prices,(non-tourist) prices, this is the place. I also highly recommend their fish dishes as well.
