This place was lovely! The owners son was the one who took my order and he was very helpful with pronunciation of the food and a suggestion for a Russian beer :) It’s small and cozy. A great place to meet people, which is what ended up happening for me!

It was my first visit to a Russian restaurant, but definitely not a last one! The place is tiny and very homely. The Russian lady running it is super friendly and cheerful, she walks around singing to the music played in the background. there aren’t many options on the menu(actually I don’t think i saw one, the lasy just told me what she had that day), but everything seems to be hoem made. I ordered a cabbage soup which was served with granary bread, sour cream and… raw garlic clove on a side for a bite:) Quite an experience! I followed with buckwheat and cheese which were morish. I couldn’t have anything else though, it was so filling. So my dessert was a tea — Russian style of course — served with cherry preserve, delicious! There are also home made compote to chose from and Eastern European beers. And it’s damn cheap!

What a lovely place! Feel like home! Well, everything is home made, even kompot! There are 3 things you must taste once you visit Skamiejka: — pielmienie — solianka — mustard — so spicy(I cried…) Selection of alco: Georgian and Russian beers! Home-made spirit(ask the bartender — at least it’s written so on the wall) :-)
