Delicious seafood. The portions are huge, so even if it says it’s for one person– it can definitely feed 2 – 3 people. I had the seafood stew (caldeirada) and it was wonderful. I had the portion for 1 person and it could have fed at least 2 more people. Nice, new restaurant, in front of Porto Pim beach. It was one of the best meals we had in Faial.

This food was fantastic… And it’s got a very cool nautical atmosphere. Here is my complaint and why I gave this place 5 stars. There portions are not big enough… Now I am full and the plate was full and huge and if I eat more I may get sick… But the food was so good i still want more. I had the tuna meatballs … Truly incredible, my wife took a bite to try and I almost died fending her off for the rest of the meal … She stabbed me with a fork and then I told her we could come back and it all worked itself out… She had the mackerel, almost as good, but not enough to stab someone over — but close

We loved Genuino! We had dinner here during Carnival and enjoyed their Brazil-​inspired special menu. The owner is gregarious and friendly, and we had a wonderful time. The price for the special menu was very reasonable, and included everything from bread to wine, to a special apéritif. Genuino is a must-​visit in Horta.

Service is great and waiters are friendly, although we had to wait between courses
Prices are very reasonable and food is authentic portuguese cuisine. If you’re a fish fan, it’s your place to be! The also serve meat.
The Genuino fish and rice is a must, served in a large pot for one or two people. Beware it’s quite huge a quantity, but so delicious we almost manage to empty it!
Also be advised side dishes like bread are NOT inclusive so you have to pay extra but really affordable. Would definitely go back to this restaurant even though we’re only staying in Horta for a week
