Another great restaurant that Praia de Luz can be proud of. Serving up authentic South African and Portugese fayre, this is a nice break from the toasties and chips of the sea front. We tucked in to a vast meal, though couldn’t quite afford to go for the whole three courses; quality comes at a price. I ate peri-peri beef, which was nicely spicy — most importantly, authentic! — and served up in a clay pot with rice. The boyfriend went for boboti, a traditional South African dish. We didn’t know what to expect but it was delicious and you could taste a variety of flavours. The owners are very friendly and make it a point to come and see everyone at their tables, asking about your day and whether you’re enjoying your stay. They also own an African crafts shop downstairs, which is worth a look when it’s open(they obviously have to fit it around the restaurant opening times!) If you’re looking for somewhere a little bit special, this could be the place for you. Suitable for both families and couples — they seat you very cleverly — it’s the perfect place for a celebration.

Ganz hervorragendes südafrikanisches Restaurant mit teilweise ungewöhnlichen Speisen. Ich hatte den«catch of the day», ein sehr leckerer, ganz frischer Fisch. Unbedingt vorher reservieren. Das Restaurant befindet sich in Praia da Luz. Fazit: Nicht ganz billig, aber lohnt sich.
