Hands down the best ice cream in Puerto Rico. The maize ice cream has a subtle richness. Buy a cone and sit on a park bench in the town square. Enjoy life!

No tenían muchos sabores cuando fuimos pero muy ricos. Y las chicas que nos atendieron nos dieron direcciones de como llegar y fueron muy amables…

Delicious ice cream in a large choice of flavors here. I wish I could have tried them all, but I got the famous corn flavored ice cream with cinnamon. It was lovely, like sweet cream corn, but as ice cream. If you’re in western Puerto Rico for any reason, hit the Mayaguez Plaza Colon and try some while you’re here! Delicious ice cream, lots of flavors, good service and lots to look at in the square while you’re enjoying it.

Rex Cream is like the«Mitchell’s in San Francisco. Hands down, Puerto Rican’s best and unique flavored ice cream! Not your average milky and fatty, made-of– lard style ice cream. Ice cream made of ice«but creamy and full of flavor» just like Greshka P. stated. If you’re in Puerto Rico, their ice cream is a MUSTTRY!

One of the best things about going to PR is having all the food and treats we grew up with and not able to get in the states, at least where I live. One of these treats, that make me think back to my childhood is the Helados de Coco y Piña(Coconut and Pineapple Icecream). These are usually sold on the streets — vendor go with their little carts with a bell announcing the flavors they have you can also have passion fruit. Now, these are not your regular ice creams, frozen yogurt or Italian ice, these are like an ice but creamy, and full of flavor. My brother is obsessed with the coconut one, not finding a street, vendor this particular day, I see this sign on the door that says«Helados de Frutas». He goes in and comes out with a 16oz cup of Coconut Ice Cream and a big smile on his face. Not only they make the usual flavors but they have a wide variety of fruits depending on season, even one of cake batter. So glad we found this place and now know exactly where to go for one of PR typical treats when in the area. You will want to try these, just buy the smaller cup so you can try more flavors.
