I seldom feel disappointing on a service but the dragonfly tour is horrible. We spent 70 dollars per person on the rainforest half day tour, our driver, who’s also the guide, put minimum effort to guide us. He didn’t introduce anything about the rainforest. Basically he’s just a driver sent us to the head of a trail then said ok let’s meet at the exit two hours later! We can see the same tour offered by other companies nearby who guide the people through and whole trip and have lots of explanations. If you want to go with dragonfly, I’d suggest you just hire a taxi drive, it will be cheaper and he/she will talk more.

I don’t understand all the terrible reviews. We had the best tour guide named Francisco. He was knowledgeable and fun, right on time for pick up. He made our visit to Old San Juan so much fun. I can’t say enough great things about him.

We stayed at the embassy suites in San Juan and decided to book the bio bay tour through the concierge downstairs. HUGEMISTAKE. The concierge is a dragonfly rep named Valeria who couldn’t be ruder and lacking all customer service skills. First, she told us the tour would be 90 per person(180 total) however our card was charged over 220 dollars. Next, we were booked with another company owned and operated by a guy named Eric who is a complete jerk. He was passing vehicles like a crazy and when I asked him to slow down he told me to shut up that I paid him to do the driving. Do not get in a car with him. Eric is a completely reckless driver. He’ll learn his lesson the day he crashes with tourist passengers in his van. You can well imagine that we did not end up doing the tour and when we asked him to return our money he cursed at us and said we weren’t getting a refund. The only nice thing the hotel did was cover the cost of our cab back to the hotel that evening. The next day we went to tell Valeria what had occurred and she looked stunned. After telling her the horrible experience we had her response was that she was not there and there was nothing she could do. For someone in the hospitality industry she lacks all customer service skills and should consider a job where she has little to no interaction with people. My suggestion: STAYAWAYFROMEMBASSYSUITESHOTEL&CASINO, DRAGONFLYADVENTURES&PRFUNTOURS. DOYOURHOMEWORKBEFOREBOOKINGWITHANYOFTHESECOMPANIESASWEFAILEDTODOSO. Had we checked there are plenty of negative reviews on all of these companies. It is shocking to see this type of customer service in a Hilton sister hotel.

7 hours spent on a flight to Puerto Rico to do something I have always wanted to do. Your bioluminescent bay. Booked your in JANUARY. Here we come to my tour date of yestersy and they were overbooked. The entire reason I planned this vacation. Ok. You can go the next day. We will call you in the am. 10am no call. We call and talk to Ana. Oh we are overbooked and will try to get you on a tour the next day. I’ll call you. 5pm. Still no call. Call back– oh Ana had a family emergency. I would too on a Friday before a 3 day weekend-how convenient. Call back at 6:30. Well– we are booked solid until Tuesday. Mind you I made this reservation 8 months in advance. Call back tomorrow and we will see if Ana is in. Bottom line– if you are like me and don’t get that much vacation time certainly don’t waste it trying to go on a tour with these jokers. I’ll be asking for a charge back on my credit card. If your time off is worth anything to you don’t waste it with these jokers.

The most horrific service I have ever received by a touring company. Very unorganized and careless. For example, on our girls trip we booked an excursion on our first day(Tuesday) for Friday at 7pm to explore bio bay. Mind you, this was at the hotels concierge, not like we went out on the streets to book this. Come the day of the excursion no shuttle service arrives and we come to find out we have been canceled! Why? No reason! After a longggg on going battle for a good hour the hotel manager got involved but dragonflys company had no remorse. In fact, they had the nerve to say sorry your still going to get charged!!! The employees have no service skills let alone manners. Do yourself a favor and DONOT book through this company.

They finally refunded my prepaid tour, so I am satisfied on that front.

I contacted then several times leading to my vacation via e-mail and phone. My trip was in February. I finally heard back today, almost 2 months later regarding my questions and requests. The dates of my travel plans were in the e-mail I sent. I ended up making tourism arrangements with other companies once i got to PR. PR is amazing. There is so much to see. Don’t rely on Dragonfly to see it for anything. These people are clearly disorganized and don’t know how to answer phones or even how a calendar works. Worst customer service ever.

Oh helllllll no. My best friend and I flew to Puerto Rico last week for some quality beach time, great food and a visit to El Yunque. A few days into our trip, we decided to consult the hotel concierge about the most convenient mode of transport to visit the rainforest — it couldn’t have been more than 15 minutes away. Though I’m not usually a fan of organized tours and would prefer to explore something on my own, we took her suggestion about booking a tour, which included a few interesting stops on the route to El Yunque and a forest hike, waterfall swim, and what have you. I didn’t mind paying the extra because I figured that the guide would at least be somewhat knowledgeable about the rainforest and point out different aspects of our surroundings. From the start, there was something off about our tour guide, Juan. We had about 15 people in our group — mostly young and seemingly fit(20s to 40s) and he somehow found a way to insult every single person on the dumpy little bus. Laughably enough, I think it was unintentional. Still very puzzling and extremely rude. 5 minutes into our drive, he drops us off at some visitors center for 45 minutes. Seriously — there’s not THAT much to read. Highly unnecessary. When we finally made it to El Yunque, after a few lectures about how STRENUOUS the trail is and how we’d most likely not be able to handle it — he made some excuse about not finding a place to park, and set us off down the trail. It was a walk in the f*cking woods. Sure, an incline here and there, but nothing to stress out about. The fact that we paid for a guide and he basically crapped out in all aspects of the tour aside from DRIVING us is just horrifying. So, moral of the story — if you’re staying in the Rio Grande area, do yourself a favor and take a taxi. You’ll save money and tons of time. You won’t learn a single thing by booking a rainforest tour. Oh and 5 stars for the rainforest. Predictably stunning.
