First of all, we ordered the most basic dishes: a chicken burrito & shrimp fajita. The chicken in the burrito was tough, wasn’t marinated or seasoned. It felt like I was eating a microwaved burrito. They only gave me a literal handful of chips as my side. My friend on the hand ordered the shrimp fajita which was really good! Although the side of refried beans she asked for came out in a side sauce container. If you’re looking for good Mexican food, this isn’t really it.

Was staying at the La Concha Renaissance Hotel across the street from this bar /Mexican restaurant. Stopped in almost every night for a few beers and a taco. The tacos was so delicious — hit the spot at 2am ! Beers and other drinks are very inexpensive and service is super friendly — they have 3 small TVs playing the different ESPN channels. Great music mix playing through the nite and music volume is just right. Only downside is that this place only opens at 4pm — would have loved stopping in for lunch ! Kitchen stays open until 2am and until 4am on Fridays and Saturdays. Liked it so much I sprinted the $ 15 and bought one of their t-shirts!

This place is awesome. Great happy hour and staff are great. I have been here many times over the past 3 years, and always have a great time. I really enjoy the empanadas. I would give it a 5 star, but my girlfriend was upset about the veggie taco. If your vegetarian order a veggie burrito.

First of all people… LOL its a Mexican food chain in PR!!! with that being said I surprising enjoyed myself. I am super crucial of my Mexican food. OK we went during the day, walked right in off the beach and sat down. It was super clean and the music was pumping(maybe in my head) still good. However, beach drink can put you over the top quick… so this place may have been better in my mind then in actual reality. Anyway we went there and the Hostess/Server/Bartender was all one dude and he was good. It wasn’t crowded at all but I give two thumbs up for is work ethics. Everyone’s food came out at the same time, all looked really good and tasted good as well. I had no issues with this place cuz its a Mexican Chain Restaurant in PR!!! lololol I will be back

The margaritas are excellent. Food was great, service and vibe awesome! I got quesdillas and the orale margarita. My friend ordered tacos and medalia light. The server was friendly, and service was fast. Love this place & look forward to coming back the next time I’m in Puerto Rico.

I had such a great time at this bar that I went there 3 days in row. The food was ok but the staff more than made up for it! Really friendly bartenders and service staff. I love going to local bars and hanging real people. Next time your there don’t forget to ask for chiciato shots.

This place was delicious. The service was great both the waiter and waitress were very attentive. Drinks were cheap and good and they have a good variety of hot sauce different flavors. I had the Tripellata and it was delicious. Very inexpensive and the drinks were 2 and 3 dollars. Try Medela beer. It’s real good.

If you are walking by this place, KEEPWALKING. First off, I’d like to give 4 stars to the customer service. The waiters were super catering and attentive, but please know this is NOT real Mexican food. There are no Mexicans in Puerto Rico, so perhaps that should have heeded a warning. I ordered the vegetarian tacos sans cheese and sour cream. All I got were two tiny flour tortillas that looked like they came straight out of an Old El Paso Taco Kit with 5 pieces of mushroom, onion and iceberg lettuce. I asked for salsa, and they brought back warm marinara. Marinara? Yes, you read correctly. I thought I was drunk, but I was actually eating crappy box tacos with warm marinara sauce. EWWW!!! With the surplus of restaurants engulfing Condado, I keep kicking myself in the ass for wanting«Mexican» and ending up at this place.

It’s very cozy at this place, I had a piña colada with alcohol but tasted none and on the menu the price was $ 6 something and was charged $ 8 something. Plus we literally waited 20 minutes for our check, but the only thing that saved this place for me was this chicken burrito I had with black beans and Mexican rice. I forgot the name of the dish but it was pure deliciousness! It should be a crime to eat something so good! Besides the burrito it was ok

My cousin and I stayed at the La Concha for an extended weekend(Thurs night– Monday afternoon). We ate there 3x! My flight landed around 930 pm, so after meeting her at the hotel, freshening up, and changing clothes, I was famished. The hotel suggested we eat at one of the Chinese food places on the strip but we noticed this little dive directly across the street. The bartender/waiter was outside mingling and immediately began talking to us and we decided to give it a try. We ordered the fajitas orale(chicken, steak, carnitas, and shrimp) which came with 3 flour tortillas, sour cream, pico de gallo, and guac. We also got a couple raspberry margaritas. The food was so good and the drinks were definitely what we needed them to be– strong and tasty! While the food and drinks were delish AND inexpensive, we asked for a side of cheese and were charged $ 4 for a ramekin(sp?) of freshly shredded mozzarella cheese. But because the food was pretty cheap we splurged on that luxury ;-) My only other complaint was that the other sides were in small portions, but the charges for extra sour cream were feasible. I got the fajitas again my last night. This batch was a little less seasoned but the to go portions of condiments were better. I ordered the deep fried enchilada covered in cheese the next day for lunch and it was just okay, but not nearly as good as the fajitas. The service was great all three times and when I return to San Juan, I’m sure I’ll come back!

Perfect quick lunch place across from La Concha. I had the La Tripletada and they were some of the most authentic tacos I’ve had in a while. The décor is like divey mexican chic. Very cute, very casual/festive. The service was great, and the sangria was stellar! I would definitely recommend the soft tacos and sangria, especially if you have crappy mexican food in the states. I haven’t had a chance to try the karaōke yet, but will update if we do!

Great place! Came here last Friday night after leaving La Placita. Great carne tacos and quesadillas. Margaritas were delicious and staff was wonderful. Everyone was so lively and had a small dance floor. Great atmosphere!

After a long day of traveling we were looking for a quick bite and stopped by here as it was close to the condo. The waiters were nice and food and drink prices were cheap, it’s a solid place to just grab some food and go. We got the sangria which was good, a little sweet but on happy hour. I tried the flautas which were tasty but a smaller portion. Boyfriend had the steak burrito and was happy with his choice. I loved the little churros for dessert! Being from Texas I had to check my ideas of Mexican food, but for a quick cheap bite, this is the place!

you’re in Puerto Rico, so why crave Mexican food. save yourself some time and the regret of ever visiting this place. get yourself some delicious authentic Puerto Rican food in Old San Juan! you won’t regret! we only came here cus were on such a rush and it’s literally across from the La Concha Resort where we stayed. and as far as it being«The Best Mexican food in town» well not sure if this is their idea of just that, but it wasn’t good aside from their deep fried pork bits. I also found hair :( also, if you’re planning to order a Michelada, DON’T!!! you’ll be sorry !!! it’s simply a cup of beer with a few splashes of hot sauce. WTH?!? ok, NO.

The food was a little bland a not something to come here for, the drinks we strong and good the service was friendly as well with is a nice change. However when me and my girlfriend left we realized that they charged us 10 $ for something that should have been 7 $ so if you go there go for the drinks and not the food.

This place is a Puerto Rico 3, or a US2 Star establishment. I give them an ‘extra’ star because EVERYTHING in PR is done Slower and I maybe shouldnt fault them for that. The Good: Location, AWESOME spot for people watching! Easy to get to from the ‘hotel strip’ by the beach. The Tacos ARE good. The Waiter even tried to accommodate my wife’s ‘No Wheat’ thing. Music was Great. The Bad: Wanted a ‘Soda Water’ for my wife. Got the least carbonated beverage containing CO2 you could get. And it was still $ 2. Asked for a Brooklyn Lager, got a Sam Adams Boston(Not a big deal, both are good…) HUGE Sign Mentioning their Happy Hour Specials, CLEARLY Listing Mojitos. «No… Those specials are… No More sir.» I guess the sign they use to lure you in is just for decoration. Got refried beans — a little cup was $ 6…they were good but not worth more than $ 4. The receipt had a few mistakes on it, but the difference was only a few bucks so I didnt say anything. Service was kind of slow, it was fun to watch the waiter walk outside and we liked to make up stories about what he might be doing out there. Not BAD, but its the kind of place where I’ll be your experience can vary by 200% each time you go.

The food was good, and the cost reasonable. The service was terrible. Our waiter came to our table twice: once to take our order and once to drop off some drinks. We had to go to the bar ourselves to get another round of drinks and to pay the bill. The bartender was very attentive. The waiter was on his phone and dancing to the music the entire time. We asked for a side of rice and beans. «It is very simple here. We don’t have rice.» A Mexican restaurant with no rice.
