Señor Paleta

What a great wonderful place. Such a cool concept too in a great area. The forrer Roché Popsicle is so gooood! They also have mango and strawberry cheesecake which are great too. They have many many flavors so no matter what you like they have something for everyone.

There’s no room inside so the line gets backed up onto the sidewalks real easy. Once inside, however, the service is quick and the options are well organized. One pop is $ 3.40 so if you’re in the mood for fresh flavor at a gourmet price, these are for you. I think a better price would be closer to $ 2.50. The flavor options were: yogurt, forrer rocher, nutella, coconut, watermelon, strawberry and strawberry mojito. I got the mojito and loved it! The mint was fresh and the strawberry was perfect. I probably wouldn’t go again unless I was really craving it. Good product although overpriced.

I was not a big fan of popsicles until I tried one from here! I had the strawberry one & I can’t wait to go back & try some of the other flavors! Absolutely delicious & refreshing. Also, you can taste the quality and the freshness of the ingredients they use. Definitely a great spot in OSJ. If you go & there’s a long line… trust me just do it. It moves quickly & it is definitely worth the line!

Great go to ice cream/​snack place to visit while in Viejo San Juan. We actually didn’t know what all the fuss was about until we saw the LOOOONG line of customers waiting to even get inside the small boutique.
This place makes creative, original flavors for popsicles. We tried the strawberry shortcake and Ferrero Rocher flavored popsicles. Although they could have done a better job of producing more of a shortcake flavor, the Ferrero Rocher flavored popsicle was ON POINT. This is the bomb dot com!

As we were walking to our dinner spot, we saw a long line outside this place and wondered what the fuss was about. Like any normal human being, I hate lines and quickly walked on. However after dinner, being that we still had time before our flight, we decided to see for ourselves. The line was just as long as when we first saw it, but it moved with lightning speed. We were in there in no time.
Originally I wanted to try something fruityish so I ordered a lime pop, but when the woman said that the coconut was their best seller, I changed my order. No regrets. Their coconut pop was creamy and not too sweet with little bits and pieces of coconut in every bite! Worth trying.

Great find in Old San Juan, enjoyed by locals and tourists alike! Place was crowded at 19:00 on a Sunday night, but line moved quickly. Staff was quite friendly and helpful, and the popsicles were delicious (if a bit pricey). Had the coconut Popsicle covered in chocolate and nuts, and it tasted just like a Mounds bar! Highly recommend to anyone looking for a little dessert after a good dinner.

I try the peanut flavor, and is awesome taste like creamy peanut butter, not to sweet just perfect. One of the best place to visit in old San Juan.

we stopped by this popsicle shop on our last day in old san juan back in aug. the line wasn’t too bad since it start just started to pour so there was not a lot of people on line. this place has a variety of popsicle flavors and ALLL of them are delicious. we ordered 4 different popsicles. the one that stood out was ferraro rocher. who doesn’t love having ice cream during a sun shower

This is a great stop on a hot day and a great treat for the kids, definitely will be back thank you!

So yummy! It was hot walking around and we walked past and seen so many different flavors! Everything is handmade by them and they have very unique flavors. .Ferrero rochero, my friend loved it. A bit expensive, it is in a tourist area, but it’s worth it because it was good if u need a cold bar. Very nice workers as well.

A bit of a hole in the wall place in the outskirts of Old San Juan. The establishment has about 20 flavors, I picked Strawberry Mojito. It tasted fresh, and doesn’t have that artificial taste – it actually tasted like a mojito and had lots of little bits of mint in it. I would definitely go again if the craving struck. A little bit pricey though, $ 3.40 for a popsicle.

After walking around deliriously in the humidity, I saw a line of people queued up for something. That’s how I discovered Señor Paleta. I got the melon (watermelon) and it was delicious. I can’t wait to go back and try other flavors.

Señor Paleta has to be the ONLY ice cream popsicle store in Old San Juan because lines are literally out the door and around the block e-​v-​e-​r-​y-​d-​a-​y. Something about Señor’s popsicles drive people nuts and coming back for more.
Señor Paleta was one of the food destinations on the Flavors of San Juan food tour. Luckily, we didn’t have to sunbathe in the long line because our tour guide popped in real quick and got us a whole bunch of flavors to try.
Their pistachio ice cream popsicle had to be one of the best Pistachio flavored frozen treat I’ve ever had! There were small bits of ground pistachio in the popsicle which made it even better. Other flavors I tried included Strawberry Mojito, which was very light and refreshing, Strawberry Cheesecake dipped in chocolate, which was like the ultimate mouthgasm, and finally the Mani (Peanut Butter) dipped in chocolate which tasted like a frozen Reese’s peanut butter cup. So yummmm!
We went back a second time and had to stay on line for about 10 minutes. By the time we got to the front, everything was sold out except for 3 flavors. Seems like they’re open until they run out. which was not even 5pm by that time.
Both locals and tourists seem to flock to this place. It’s definitely a nice treat to cool down with during a hot sunny day.

I read all of these reviews and I was very excited to try a paleta. I got a mojito and my boyfriend got fresa. They were very refreshing and i think the mojito was very unique and flavorful. I wish I would’ve tried a creamier flavor but I don’t have any complaints with what we got. I would highly recommend anyone looking for a refreshing treat in old San Juan to try señor paleta. It was close to wear I was staying and nice to enjoy while observing all the views. Cash only.

Seriously, the best damn popsicles you will ever have. I can’t even describe them, but they’re super fresh and the flavors they have are awesome… pineapple, coconut, strawberry, you name it. They’ll make you feel like you’re eating something healthy, but they’re freakin awesome. If you’re down walking around in VSJ, you need to stop by and get one. Seriously. Go out of your way.

So refreshing! We had the pistachio and mojito pops and they were so refreshing on a super humid day. Great location as well– we went directly across the street to enjoy our popsicles on a bench by the water

Located in Old San Juan, this place offers trendy Popsicles, that need to be sold on every street corner in Puerto Rico.
Not overly sweet, not overly pricey, expertly crafted.
GET THE NUTELLA.
Unfortunately I came around closing so they only had lemon-​lime, mango, and nutella left. All were good in their own way, but nutella stood out the most.

Great way to alleviate the PR heat! Flavors I have not seen before… I had the strawberry cheesecake and my fiancé tried the mojoto. very refreshing!

Amazing ice cream!
This place is incredible. We went here on a food tour in a group of friends. Almost every person got a different paleta. Paletas are Popsicles, essentially, but this place does a great job making creamy, fresh, and delicious paletas. The paletas are either dairy or water based (ice cream or sorbet) and come in unique flavored– i was torn between the strawberry mint sorbet or the raspberry strawberry ice cream! Plus, how cute is the Señor Paleta sign?
A helpful tip– it’s closed on Mondays– but definitely build in a trip here if you can.

Best dessert on the island! We stumbled upon this small shop after having lunch down the street, and we were blown away at how delicious the popsicles were! They use all-​natural ingredients and they have a great assortment of flavors. Whether you’re here on a cruise stop or here for just a day-​trip, you have to stop at Señor Paleta! We even went back the next night because we were HOOKED. The service was incredible and at $ 3 a pop, you won’t be able to just have one!
