Couldn’t be happier that the food at the W was all coming from this one place! I was worried at first that the options would be limited but it was amazing with 3 different Menus for breakfast lunch and dinner. We had breakfast every morning for a week and tried the entire menu(literally) and not one dish was disappointing! A personal favorite was the Huevos Rancheros that was the perfect breakfast dish with a crunch! Lunch had phenomenal wraps, quesadillas and an always perfectly cooked burger anytime we ordered. The dinner was to die for, and we were lucky enough to have paella night featured on our romantic dinner for 2 included with our W hotel package. The Paella was mixed with seafood and meat, the rice was not mushy like some Paella could be, and the seasoning was spot on! An appetizer recommendation is the tuna with watermelon that literally melted in my mouth when I took a bite, I was very surprised as the flavor combination complimented each other perfectly. What really made our experience five stars here was our server NAVID, he was incredible! So knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. Highly recommended with amazing food!

It’s decent. Great views from the restaurant for sure. Breakfast and dinner are pretty good and the price isn’t too bad. Lunch is not so good. Too few choices.

Overpriced mediocre food. Amazing views is the only reason I am giving it 3 stars. We had a breakfast here. I ordered crab Benedict and my husband & son had a buffet. Cafeteria food for restaurant prices. All pastries tasted like from supermarket or continental breakfast from Hampton Inn. My husband liked his omelet but for 26 $ for buffet I think it’s not worth the price. Crab Benedict was simply disgusting with crab cake of 3 mm which mostly was mixed with some vegetables and 3 spears of asparagus were unappetizing to look at. Service is friendly but inefficient. Meh!

I’ve stayed and eaten at this restaurant numerous times. The food and service are truly hit or miss, but I’ll definitely say that when it’s right, it definitely makes staying at the W feel that much more luxurious. Firstly, ask for Caroline as your server. She really knows what she’s doing and she’s excellent. Breakfast and dinner here are both fantastic, so you will want to make sure you don’t miss out. The atmosphere is beautiful. The ambience truly is tropical and romantic. And the last few times I’ve been, I guess I just knew what to order, because it was truly on point. Caroline didn’t know the meaning of the word no, which meant that when I accidentally ordered a side of Arroz con Gandules and then apologized for making that up, she quickly let me know that it was possible. I ordered the Chicken Remoulade, which was a juicy and tasty chicken breast wrapped in delicious crispy(but not too crispy!) bacon and stuffed with the a decadent plantain. Absolutely hit the spot and I recommend. I ordered it twice. My friend ordered the Churrasco Encebollao which was also excellent. I should’ve taken more pictures, but I was too busy enjoying myself. Truly, you can’t miss this place if you come to Vieques.

We ate breakfast here every day of our 5 days, so this review is about that experience. Of course the atmosphere on the deck overlooking the ocean is unmatched. They were also very attentive to bring us coffee, juice and accommodating with the menu to adjust as we requested. The homemade granola was great! The smoothie of the day was also very good(strawberry apple was my favorite). The breakfast burrito is huge, but the best item I had all week — really different and excellent! Food quality was always good! Service was very good — very accommodating, great customer service and went the extra mile to share tips on the island, hotel, etc. We enjoyed our leisurely breakfast each morning very much!

Loved everything about the W Vieques and that includes the restaurant so I’m confused by the subpar reviews. We ate here for dinner 3 times during the course of our week stay at the W. Service was super attentive and friendly and the food was delicious(if a little overpriced, but hey, you’re staying at the W so what do you expect?). The cheese croquettes were SO good. The mofongo was amazing. The risotto was to die for. Wasn’t a huge fan of the desserts, but by the time you’ve eaten all the yummy appetizer and main course goodness, there’s not much room left for dessert anyway. My favorite part? They have a whole vegetarian menu! I ate here 3 times and didn’t have to repeat a single item. That’s kind of unheard of. There’s of course plenty of non-vegetarian options as well. Yay for Sorce. I hope to be lucky enough to be back at the W and sitting at one of Sorce’s tables again sometime in the near future!

I dined at Sorce many times during my stay at the W; breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Ambiance was romantic, perfect for a date night. During breakfast and lunch, you dine with a gorgeous ocean view. At night, dining area shifts to a low light setting, surrounding area glows with light bulbs hanging from the trees and fire from a fire pit nearby. FOOD: Huevos Rancheros — I had for breakfast twice because it was that amazing. Pico De Gallo was delicious and had a good spicy kick. 3 eggs might seem like a lot of food, but somehow I didn’t feel stuff afterward. Recommend getting this! Grilled mahi mahi — this didn’t quite impress me. Tacos only came with fish and chopped up lettuce. Cilantro would be a nice addition to the tacos. Ceviche — I also ordered this twice. First time was great. Fish tasted fresh and lime-y, but lacked of salt. Second time, I had in-room service. It seemed as if it was pre-made since the afternoon. Didn’t taste as fresh. Skirt Steak from ‘our culture menu’ — DELICIOUS! Great seasoning. Meat cooked perfectly(I asked for medium). Steak topped with chimichurri sauce and sauteed onion. There’s a side of sunny side up egg over rice. Rice was a little crunchy, but I was just so impressed with flavorful steak so I didn’t mind the rice issue. Classic egg benedict — I ordered crab benedict, but sadly. I received the classic version. There was no crab to be found. But the classic version tasted great. I like that the eggs were on brioche bun. Tobiko was a great addition to hollandaise sauce. Croquetas — I wasn’t impressed with this choice. These croquetas were just okay. They filled with creamcheese and sit on top of some sort of syrupy yucca. You can skip this. Mofongo Shrimp — I enjoyed part of this dish. Shrimp was flavorful. Good size shrimp. The part that I didn’t enjoy was deep fried mashed plantain. I typically love plantains, but this time. it was a bit hard, chewy, and heavy. Service was always pleasant, accommodating, and friendly. I never felt that the food took too long to come out, I guess because atmosphere there was just so relaxing. you just kind of lose yourself in time.

We ate dinner here twice and enjoyed both experiences. The outdoor cabana-style environment is freakin’ awesome, like the rest of the resort. You really feel like you are in a special place and time. Yes, it isn’t inexpensive. But what is on the island? The food is no more expensive than something similar in NYC. I loved the food. And the environment and service is exceptional. I stuck to fish, which I usually do when in a tropical location. Perfectly prepared. The root vegetables were great too. But I suggest you have the mocha caramel dessert. Good lord. I feel the restaurant takes the time and care the rest of the resort took in its craft. I do not know if you can eat at Sorce if you are staying off-property. If you can, I suggest it. You will get a feel for The W, which is an incredible hotel… and you may want to stay there next time.

I enjoyed my breakfast here. They had something like a fried crêpe with ham n cheese! I would say that was a plus

Fantastic food. I really enjoyed the stuffed piquillo peppers and the mofongo. Breakfast dishes are huge.(unlike restaurants that list caloric index for healthy dishes only, the sole dish sorce did that for was a breakfast sandwich which had a whopping 2100 kcal) But healthy options are also easily accessible. Tara Stiles created many menu items here as part of the strala vieques retreat. I particularly recommend the gluten free granola with greek yogurt. The green smoothie tasted watered down so a better option would be W café.

The manager here was extremely good to us. He brought out our drinks and kept checking on the table. He even brought us a coconut which isn’t on the menu. The only problem I had was with my meal, the catch of the day frita, there was way to much starch on the plate and the filet had a lot of little bones. The fish had a good flavor and tasted really fresh but it’s not worth the price. My girlfriend ordered the seafood trifongo which to me was just ok monfongo but she thought it was the best she’s had, even on the main island. Also the tres leches was way sweeter than expected. On the bright side the drinks were really good and strong.

Out of the meals you can eat here(breakfast, lunch, & dinner), the dinner is the best, followed by the breakfast buffet which is decent. Lunch and room service after 10p gives the lowest value for your money. But in general, you are paying a resort premium. On the dinner menu, the churrasco(skirt steak) is very flavorful and a consistent winner. Last night I had the daily special(fresh Mahi Mahi) that was also quite good. I enjoyed the mushrooms and carrots that came with the entrée and the fish tasted fresh. Juice/coffee/tea is included in the breakfast buffet package. I highly recommend the passion fruit juice which was awesome! It tasted fresh squeezed but I am told by the server it is actually concentrate. For breakfast you can also get two different types of smoothies which are off the menu, 1) a green smoothie with spinach, kale, kiwi, & cucumber which tasted crisp and refreshing, and 2) a fruit smoothie of strawberry, oranges and other fruits. I ordered an individual item instead getting the breakfast buffet on our last day, the Eggs Benedict that usually comes with breakfast potatoes. You can ask for a mixed green salad with it instead. That’s what I got and it was glorious. Breakfast is from 7am-11am everyday. If you are going to get the breakfast buffet, I would highly recommend getting there as early as possible if you can because there is an extensive selection of fresh tropical fruit but if you arrive for breakfast after the first hour or so of the fruit being out on the large dining table, little fruit bugs will be happily sitting on the fruit as well. That ruined my appetite for the fruit but when we got to breakfast early enough, the fruit was awesome. I give this place three stars because sometimes the food lacks flavor. For example, our ceviche appetizer was very bland and the scrambled eggs at breakfast have no taste either. Also, I wish the kitchen had a greater variety of food and snacks because you are stuck in the resort/island for the most part and the least you can do is have good food so your stomach is happy. I did have the fried mozzarella sticks with marinara sauce yesterday and it was a tasty afternoon snack. Four stars for the excellent service! The servers at any of the three meals are friendly and attentive. The ambiance is romantic and relaxing as you eat dinner outside in the warm sea breeze.

I am giving Sorce 1.5 stars for dinner service. Go here for the view and the grounds. Dinner service is disappointing(with a pricetag to disappoint even more). We came here bc we stayed at the hotel and there were no taxis to leave haha. Oh well. Angel was accommodating and gave great service regardless of the subpar cuisine.

The highlight of dining here was the grounds. You get ocean views from the open air dining. The grounds have iguanas. Of course, the hotel is ultra expensive, but we did not stay here. The food was good, but not great & not worth the money. El Quenepo was much better, had a better mufungo & had better vegetarian options. That is not to say anything was bad in particular, but when you pay this kind of money, you expect better.

3 Stars for a great breakast menu and an excellent wine list. We checked out the dinner menu and werent impressed. Visit the island for dinner. For breakfast i tried a few items over several days including banana bread french toast with maple bacon chutney on top of nutella. The service is slow. like 25 minutes for coffee slow. We werent in a hurry, but if u are, maybe go someplace else. But again. skip this place for dinner.

Convenience is key here. Its great to not have to drive around Vieques for food. You might find cheaper fare elsewhere but the quality of food and ingredients was amazing and my lobster dish was small but so rich that it filled me up no problem. We shared a delicious if not typical ice cream dessert. If you are planning on staying at the W bring a little extra cash and splurge on a fancy/delicious dinner with a great breeze and walk to your room a little tipsy. The memory will be totally worth it :)

Convenient for those staying at the W and worth a trip for those who aren’t. While the paradise view may seem like the biggest attraction, the food does not disappoint. The breakfast spread is incredible and delicious. With a constant warm breeze you may stay until lunch.

How is Alain Ducasse associated with this place? I think not. Maybe he sold his name. Go for the dessert only. The food was ehhh ok. Nothing like we were expecting. The restaurant is gorgeous and the service was wonderful. Where they fell short? The food. Tuna tartar app was not small pieces tossed in mango chutney as described. But sliced seared tuna on top of said chutney and one lonely root chip. It was tasty but not a tartar. I had filet perfectly cooked. But plated like 1992. And smothered in peppercorn sticky sauce. Bf had the snapper escabeche which sat high above a dome of ill prepared rice. No veggies floating in yummy broth. Major let down. Meal cost $ 240 for 2 ppl Waiter did recommend a delicious red wine which we were pleased about and the desserts were 100% pleasing which saved our entire attitude on the meal. Thankfully it’s not a stuffy dressy place and everyone being so nice helped not being majorly disappointed. Get in your car and head to noche if you want fine dining. :-/ Ps– if it’s not a breezy night it gets very buggy sitting outside

I really liked this place, but coudn’t give it a 4(i gave Next Course that) and certainly not a 5(I have Quenepo that). I would give it a 3.5−4, if I could give Next Course a 4.5. I liked Sorce! We ate there five times during our time at Vieques,…once brunch, once breakfast, once carry out breakfast and twice dinner, including once for their Valentine’s special. Let me preface by saying they have a huge advantage over the rest of the island dining since they are IN the W resort, with beautiful modern décor and ocean side dining. Its absolutely stunning and very romantic. Price: I was pleasantly surprised that for a restaurant in a 6 out of 7SPG rated resort, the highest priced entrée was $ 36. Both Next Course and Quenepo are pricier than this. The prices certainly aren’t cheap, but good for what/where it is. Brunch: It was very good! Lots of variety, including a deluxe oatmeal/granola/yogurt bar, a deluxe fruit bar that included fresh squeezed watermelon juice, a expansive omelet station, a selectino of juices, cereals, pastries, and buffet eggs, meat, potatoes and pancakes. We dno’t eat pork but they were happy to accomodate us by bringing us sides of their chicken sausage. It also comes iwth a free smoothie so all in all good food and price was decent. The pancakes were dry but then again they always are when sitting on a buffet. Valentines Dinner: we had a price fixed dinner for $ 39 and we were really pleased by it! We got complimentary glasses of champagne and a rose for me lol… the watermelon salad was BEAUTIFUL and tasted excellent,…the salmon entrée was really good, with foie gras(although I don’t like FG) the salmon and potatoes were exceptional… and the desert was SOGOOD! It was a moist cake with berry filling and chocolate overlay, and came with fruit in a rum compote and cotton candy. sounds wacky but it all worked!!! Breakfast: their belgian waffle with in house made vanilla cream topping was our favorite thing there! awesome! Everything else was very good and the service was always exceptional… best on the island. All in all I liked this place a lot. Obviously, since we ate there a bunch of times. I prefer Quenepo and Next Course but this place is more affordable, food is still quite good and you can’t get the views here at any of hte other establishments. Service was exceptional and ambiance romantic. I recommend eating here but make sure you definitely try Next Course and Quenepo before you leave!

On Christmas Day, after having a reservation we waited 15 minutes to be sat. The staff was amazingly friendly. The view was stunning. The food on the other hand was beyond awful! I spent the rest of Christmas in bed with food poisoning! Not how you would want to spend my vacation. I don’t mind spending money on GOOD food, but I wouldn’t feed the stray dogs this food.
