Our top lunch place in Barcelona, and we’ve been to quite a few. Situated on Avenida de Gaudi with an incredible view of the Sagrada familia you will find outstanding food and friendly service from the local Family that runs the place. We were last here in 2014 and the quality and service are the same. Their menu del dia is very reasonably priced for a three course meal. My favorite is the pan fried fish steak(merluza) and their ensalada Russe. Highly recommended.

This was the very first tapas bar I tried in Barcelona. I ordered 2 tapas on recommendation of the waiter, and each was very good! The first was a traditional potato omelette – came out very hot and perfectly seasoned. The second tapa was a sirloin on a brioche. It was so tender and moist and also perfectly seasoned! I loved the spicy sauce that it came with. The place is a little bit dark and dank looking, but the food is pretty nice. It’s close to the sagrada familia so pop in here if you’re in the area.

This bar offers great tapas with outdoor seating, along a tree-lined street, which happens to be across from Sagrada. I recommend the tapas platter for groups of 3 – 4. If very hungry, then by all means, have the platter all for yourself.

Beautiful view of Sagrata Familia. Tapas was above average but you can’t beat the environment. Good experience.
