Meliá Barajas

Stayed here one night on the way to Morocco when my flight was delayed and Iberia put us up for the night. It’s got a rather grand entrance which makes you think; «actually this might be one of the swishest airport hotels I’ve ever stayed in!», then you walk towards the lobby bar with it’s double aspect height and the feeling continues. You get to the rooms, and that’s where it stops I’m afraid! Don’t get me wrong, the rooms are perfectly clean and sparkly — I wouldn’t give out too much about them at all — they just haven’t been redecorated in a good 20 years I’d say.
But hey, you’re never gonna be in an airport hotel room on holidays are you. It’s clean, it’s got all the facilities you would need, and it’s a five minute drive the airport. Oh — the breakfast is really good as well — all manner of cakes and savouries and the classic variety of hams.

Servicio gratuito al aeropuerto, excelente gastronomía y la habitación espectacular, se nota que es un Meliá.

Sehr schönes Hotel mit luxuriösem Badezimmer: alles marmoriert, Badewanne und Dusche getrennt, zudem ein Bidet. Im Sommer kann man den Swimmingpool im Garten benutzen. Das Hotel liegt nahe am Flughafen, aber auch die Madrider City ist gut mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln zu erreichen.
