We went on a Friday night, and it was the weekend that kicked off the Christmas holiday season and a week off from work. So, there were no reservations, and it was packed. This restaurant is a local haunt, they don’t speak English, and they don’t seem to want to deal with tourists. I still found the service friendly and professional.
The food is AH MAY ZING. Definitely get the chilled cream of sea urchin soup served in half of the shell. The grilled foie gras on toast is excellent. There are many styles of anchovies and sardines. For our entrée, we shared the solomillo, which is the back of the boar or cow by the spine, and had an artichoke salad as the side. The desserts looked very good, as well. Solid all around local food. Definitely go there!

The girl renting us our apartment had recommended us this restaurant — her favorite place for tapas in Palma.
We had reserved a table for three. When we came, the reservation stated two persons, and the waiter wasn’t very service minded. It seamed like a problem to find a table for three (even if there were mostly free tables). When we asked for an English menu it seamed like a problem as well, and all the way through we felt like we weren’t welcome.
We ordered a few different dishes. The meat came in rare instead of well done. We sent it back. 5 minutes later the same meat came back. Still rare and now a bit cold as well. We sent it back again, and got it back medium (and tasteless). The vegetables that it was mixed with was now burned.
The pieces of duck we got were dry and tasteless, the potato fries where not done, the mini burger lacked lots of salt and was very dry and the shit was still in the shrimps ass when they got served. All in all it was boring, not cooked like it was supposed to and totally tasteless.
We told the waiter about the very bad food when we were done, and only had to pay for the drinks and the salad. They said sorry and handed the situation good.
Since I’ve read a lot of good reviews about Patxi, I hope this was just a single bad night for them. But I will definitely not recommend anyone to visit them, because the mistakes were just too basic and too many to be caused just by bad circumstances.

Excellent service in English and Spanish. The smell from the kitchen will make you want to stay longer than you may have planned. Great selections of wines by the glass (our favorite was a local wine) and beers. Food can seem pricy if you’re used to the prices at the tapas bars in Barca, but it’s worth it. We ordered 5 small plates (for a single person), 2 plates to share, 1 beer, 1 bottle water + 2 glasses wine and paid just over 36 euros.
The food was wonderful!

Perfect place for typical Spanish food. They have dozens of fabulous tapas and other dishes. You can either sit at the bar or in the restaurant.
