A place dedicated for soups and stews was exactly what we were looking for in the cold winter days when walking through Malmö. Please note that they have two restaurants, one in Limhamn and one in St. Knuts väg and this is the review for the St. Knut’s one. No menu card here, everything is displayed on the wall. Goulash, southern france fish stew, chicken in creamy soup, chili from chuck meat, a couple of other that I can’t quite remember and obviously this being in Sweden, they have vegetarian dishes(bean casserole and vege lentils soup). Order from the cashier and wait for your soup to appear on the kitchen window. Bread and butter to eat with your soup as much as you want. Service is friendly, place is super cozy and they have quite selection of non alcoholic drinks(I got the lascombe ginger beer which was good). My goulash came out really tasty and with a price of 98kr for the giant bowl, it’s really worth the money. My sisters ordered the Southern France fish stew and the chicken cream soup and they were all happy about their food. One thing for sure is that they were not petty about the meat. My sister’s chicken soup came with large chunk of chicken and so the Fish Stew with bunch of salmon and shrimps. Overall, I recommend this place if you seek warmth in winter weather or just that warm feeling of eating homemade food. I love it

Top marks for the excellent food, courteous, helpful staff, and relaxed, informal ambience. A self serve restaurant that provides delicious food and excellent value, far beyond most full service restaurants. If you want a modern and youthful spin on Scandinavian fare, this is the place. The menu is limited to a few tasty items, prepared as food should be. Really a gem. This review applies to the St Knut location. Given it’s the most recent of three Malmo locations, I’d expect similarly excellent food and great service at the other locations.

This has quickly become a staple lunch spot on st. knuts, close to two other favorites Kiez and Saiko. 4 – 6 options of soups/stews each day varying from 80−150kr each, their excellent bouillabaisse and chili seem to be on the menu every day. What we really like about eating here is that it’s healthy and hearty, and is served up quickly(no waiting around!) The style of the restaurant is lean back Scandinavian, while both food and drinks have a french fusion feeling to it(but unfortunately they have no liquor license). During spring and summer they had outdoor seating but no heaters. Take out is served in paper containers rather than plastic too, adding to the genuine feeling. Walk across the street for coffee at Uggla kaffebar.
