First off this place is gorgeous on the inside. You can tell there was a lot of thought and effort put into the interior design. It’s cozy and warm, which will be perfect for those cold winter nights when you’ve forced yourself to go out and be social. Like any run-of-the-mill pub in Stockholm, you have loads of regulars, lots of beer, and the standard food(pizza, kebab dishes, burgers, plankstek, etc). The pizza looked super good, but I wanted to try the plank steak. So glad I did, because it was delicious! The meat was very well cooked and the presentation was beautiful. The garlic butter underneath the fresh mushrooms? WOW! That really took me by surprise; it was tasty! The potatoes could’ve used a bit more salt and to cook for a little less time, but that didn’t ruin the dish for me. The bacon wrapped asparagus is my favorite part of plank steak, so I wish there had been more of it. The dish filled me up though, so no complaining from my end. The staff is super friendly and you can tell they love what they do. All my questions were answered politely and with smiles(and I can ask a LOT of questions!), and the service was fast. I would definitely recommend checking this place out if you’re by Solna Station. It’s easy to miss because Basic Bar och Kök is closer to the station, but walk just 1.5 more blocks and you’re there. I will have to visit again to solidify the 4 star rating, but so far so great!
