Stopped by for a quick bite after doing my laundry up the block at what seems to be Stockholm’s only laundromat. Decent kebab meat(more like a shawarma). However, the guy who assembled everything in my pita did it in the worst way possible — the first three bites I had were literally just yogurt sauce and iceberg lettuce. No layering whatsoever! The meat was shoved ALL the way down. The next few bites were yogurt sauce, iceberg lettuce, and onion. I nearly gave up after that since eating mouthfuls of sour yogurt and flavorless lettuce wasn’t exactly enjoyable. Free gingerbread cookies in a tin made me feel a little better about my crappy sandwich experience.

I’ve changed this review after a couple of disappointing take outs.

Excellent Turkish food, and I would go there again. Ive been to Istanbul twice, and this is pretty close. Nice location at Odenplan. Its a fast food place, but food actually 10 – 15 min, so not super fast. Interior is functional and clean although not very exciting. Nice place for lunch.

We went here because we wanted a quick dinner without fuss, and this fit the bill nicely. There’s a chain in California called«Charlie Kabob» which I would equate Eastanbul with. Perfect when you’re craving some fast Mediterranean style cooking. Though, there are actually quite a few restaurants in Stockholm that fit that description — some of which are probably gems we haven’t discovered yet. Our favorites were the chicken and steak kabob, both well seasons and deliciously grilled. The lamb is very«lamby», but that can be good if that’s what your looking for. The ground beef was a bit plane, and not particularly moist. Everything was on the salty side, but that’s common in this city. We’d definitely go back for something quick and cheap.
