What a place. Had lunch and loved it. Excellent service and the food was 5 stars.
Will highly recommend this place to anyone that will listen.
It is a bit pricey, but for business lunches it can’t be beat. The surroundings are fantastic and I can’t wait to get back there for lunch.

Came here a late sunday evening for food at their terrace. After i manage to navigate to second floor where its located, we found ourselves getting seated after a couple of minutes.
When we arrived music was pretty loud and they were throwing out some classic RnB/​Hip-​Hop songs from the 90s. They had a «Tonights special» including their cheeseburger with a Peroni beer for 205 SEK which was a great deal. We also had a Charcuteri dish to share before the food came in.
Burger was juicy, tasty and pretty large. Asked for a burger without onions which they missed to fulfill, but other than that, service was good.
Expect a laidback lounge atmosphere where you can eat or just have a drink to start off your night.

Two floors up in the beautiful Lydmar hotel you have a lounge/​bar terrace with good music and a fountain in the middle!
We got there around 9pm, it was abit crowded and this was a sunday but It didn’t take long for us to get a table! We had heard alot about the burgers here and wanted to give it a try!
I ordered mine medium/​rare as the waitress suggested and it was brilliant, fresh salad, fries and really tender meat. It may have not been the best burger I have tested but wellworth it’s reputation!
They might want to turn the music volume down abit so you could talk more but all in all it’s a nice place to catch up with friends and the price wasn’t bad counting in the premium location and you got a burger and a beer for cheap!

We spent New Year’s Day here for a late lunch. Even though we didn’t book, the staff were kind enough to arrange a table. I’ve been to Lydmar on a few occasions before but never to eat, so was looking forward to it. I love the atmosphere and interior, however the music choice did not always hit the right spot, jumping from 50’s classics to pop songs to disco. In addition the service was decidedly slow and unattentive at time (which is the reason for the 4 not 5 star review). BUT enough of that and on to the food! For starters I had 3 oysters and champagne. The oysters were lovely as to be expected, but I felt a bit overpriced for what it was (and compared to what you can get at other establishments of similar standing around town).
Next was the burger, a recommendation from the waiter (I know, oysters and hamburgers, but come on it was New Years ;-)) and I just pretty much fell in love with the burger. It’s definitely on my top 3 list of burgers in Stockholm and dare I say that it’s the best I’ve had here. The meat was perfectly rare, cheese fantastic and I love the smoky flavour of the bacon that was mixed into the patty. The fries were pretty darn good, and the sauces great. I loved that they put the salad on the side of the burger and not in it, and the large salty gurka was a nice touch. The only «problem» was that the serving was so big I couldn’t finish it :(
So, to summarise, great atmosphere & food, the only thing that wasn’t up to the same standard was the service, but then again it wasn’t terrible by Swedish standards, so definitely not a deal breaker. I will definitely be coming back for the burger again!

Great Bloody Mary’s and tuna tar tar.

Lydmar is mainly a hotel but their restaurant is worth a visit. The vibe of the place is really pleasant and it is a perfect place for a drink or two. Relaxing in the sofas or chairs it is easy to just end up staying for dinner after the drinks as well. Service has always been good the times I have been there — have often showed up without reservations (not the best as it is fairly small and popular) but they have almost always been able to find available seats.
The food is not excellent but it is not a place where one comes to eat the best food — it is more of a place that has a nice atmosphere where you just want to hangout (in a similar way that many of Keith McNally’s restaurants are really great to visit but the food is seldom exciting). I have had the burger, and it is good but nothing special and considering they charge close to 200 SEK it should perhaps be better. The best bets are usually the daily specials, I have had some good risotto and tasty chicken on occasion.
In summer the outdoor seating is an excellent place to just relax and enjoy the (hopefully) nice weather and people passing by.
The bartenders also make some good cocktails and drinks. Their ‘Unusual Gin & Tonic’ is very nice.
