Fabulous food, all four dishes were perfection. If the waitress would smile and not act like she was doing us a favor, that would have been nice.

Café Sirap offers a wide variety of breakfast dishes and brunch combos with the classic bacon&eggs plus pancakes. It is often very crowded, loud and very social. I have been here a few times for brunch and you always leave well satiated. The quality of the food is average but is still good value, also because the portions are big. Ah! And dibs for the veggie brunch!

Good: Food was great and came out quick. Free coffee refills. Really reminded me of breakfast in the US. Bad: The queue was quite long. Loud and cramped.

Café Sirap is decent but not great. The food is really good, but pricey. Go here if you want to spend money on eating great greasy food. However, the service is not very good(usually very slow), the interior is not very nice, feels like a school dining hall, and you do not want to stay for too long because there are always people waiting for tables. However, big ups for the food!

After the reviews, and because I love pancakes, I went there. Perhaps I was expecting a different kind of pancakes(had never tried american pancakes)… But it will be wrong to eval a place based only in the pancakes I ordered… They have so much to try… I will return and perhaps change the 4 stars to 5… I really like what I had, but without something to compare to, how can I eval? I loved the staff and the music type. Edit: I must agree with a prior comment. Crispy bacon would make it perfect.

Highly recommended! Yumazing(yummy and amazing)! I have to add to the crowd of enthusiasts for this place. If i’m really missing home, this is a nice place to go! I took my family here when they came to Sweden for the first time because It was right near their hotel. I was pleasantly surprised at the delicious breakfast burrito! YUM! Breakfast burritos are one of my favorite food groups. LOL! They are pretty hard to find in a land that eats sandwiches for breakfast. I was so excited, I felt like I had struck gold. Personally, I think we also call sandwich meat«lunch meat» in the states for a reason. Different strokes for different folks I guess. If you really want to try this place out, I suggest going during non-peak hours because it’s always pretty packed. You’ll also want to wait and find a table before you go up to order. Otherwise, you’ll be standing around with a handful of pancakes in a crowded room not knowing what to do. ;)

Love the pancakes! Went here a Sunday morning. Though it had just opened there was a rather big line, which suggested to me that the place must be quite popular. So I took this as a good sign. I got the brunch menu consisting of scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages and toast followed by blueberry pancakes. First, the eggs and bacon were extremely delicious and there was a lot of bacon(many would even say too much). The pancakes I found very tasty. They had a crunchy crust to my appreciation. The food I would prob give 5 stars. The place however! I was very happy to be sitting outside. Inside it was very smoked from I guess pancakes and bacon. I’m sure I wouldn’t have enjoyed my meal as much. And decoration wise, they could have done so much more with the place. I considered only 3 stars but since tasty food tops interior I ended up with 4. Would I go again, yes most likely, although preferably in summer so I could sit outside.

American pancakes are a bit of a misnomer, but they are closest to that style than the european ones you usually see.

If you can look beyond the fact the place looks like a school canteen, the food is exactly as fantastically american as you expect, in a good way! Def coming back.

Thick, fluffy American pancakes? Yes, but oh crispy bacon where did you go! Really hate being a party pooper by giving 3 stars(would be 3.5 if I could!!) but Sirap hasn’t made it to ‘I’m a fan!’ territory just yet. It’s no frills and has a canteeny vibe — large grey tiles and mustard bottles on the light ‘wood’ tabletops, super easy, comfortable. A part of me does wish it felt more homey but simple works too. The pancakes were good, soft and fluffy on the inside with a bit of a crispy ‘fried’ crust around the edges. Yum. I could sometimes taste a bit of the bicarb but with all the syrup you don’t notice it. The bacon was a bit of a letdown though. It wasn’t crispy! I like my bacon to almost break apart as you try to cut it, crispy and snappy like a cracker. Sirap’s needed some knife action and chewing, not a massive disappointment but so close to being good why did you have to let me down now! :’( Feel like, overall, Sirap sits in this inbetween good-enough-to-come-back-for-but-nothing-amazing category. Though in all fairness a Singaporean living in London probably wouldn’t be the best judge of American pancakes in Stockholm haha.

After being subjected to European crêpe-style«pancakes» during the first days of my vacation, I was dying for some American-style pancakes. Staying in Odenplan for my time in Stockholm, I made a beeline for this place as soon as I read that they served up fluffy, American pancake goodness. In that category, Sirap did not disappoint. The pancakes they serve are more like thick silver dollar pancakes rather than full-sized pancakes, but they should fulfill all but the most ravenous appetites. The chocolate banana pancakes they served were heavenly, and the Belgian waffles were also quite good. They tend to make the toppings quite sweet, so it’s like having breakfast, dessert, and a massive sugar rush at the same time. For those wanting more protein in the morning, their brunch dishes and sandwiches were more substantial than expected. Combine the food with the friendly staff, and Sirap quickly became my go-to breakfast/brunch place. The only drawback is that this place is small and quite popular, so sometimes it was a pain trying to get a seat; but overall Sirap was a great place for me to fill up before a long day of walking and rigorous tourism though Djurgården, Gamla Stan, and Riddarholmen.

Could it be? An American style breakfast/brunch in Stockholm? What a wonderful restaurant! The blueberry pancakes, waffle, breakfast wrap, and bacon and eggs were all delicious. Everything we ate was sheer perfection. The only negative thing about this place is that it gets super busy and crowded during peak hours and you have to wait almost half an hour to get your food. If you are not in a rush, not a problem, right? The food is so… worth the wait! Definitely returning here.

It took me a good year to find a place where bacon, eggs and pancakes(Aunt Jemima-style) are served on the same plate with the same home-style feel as my kitchen. This place has good tasting everything, and good service to go with it. It doesn’t exactly remind you of your old-school diner with plastic leather booths and similar-feeling menus, but has instead adopted the simplistic, trendy feel typical of most popular Stockholm joints. It can get crowded on Sundays, so put some patience in your stomach, but this place is worth a visit. I would like to see some milkshakes on the menu…

This extremely cute restaurant was within walking distance of my apartment when I lived in Sweden… ah, it was such a discovery! Living around the corner from here was dangerous because once I had their bacon covered pancakes( ), it was ALL over. I was never a big fan of pancakes here in the US, but for some reason, when I was in Sweden, I was craving them something fierce. I wanted some bacon and pancakes… which happened to be bacon and pancakes for the day. I was also distracted by their chicken club sandwich. Luckily, hubby was ready to indulge and he purchased the sandwich while i reveled in the bacon pancakes. Worth every bite! It was a bit crowded because it was the weekend and people with strollers really blocked us in. Fall was settling in and they provided me with a blanket because I was sitting outside. It’s very charming while serving great food. Service can be a bit disconcerting because you go in and order and then wait for your food to come. Food was also a bit slow in coming out because the kitchen could not handle the sheer volume of people and the takeaway orders. Hopefully they worked that out.

Being an American in Sweden, there are times when you really really crave a good hearty American meal… This is always my answer during those times. Their pancake menu alone is out of this world — you can literally get any combination of fruits, syrups, chocolate and more on your cakes! They are cooked to perfection, just the way I remember them from my childhood! They also have excellent breakfast combos with cheesy eggs, salty bacon and yummy orange juice. This place is verrrry kid friendly– and kids LOVE it! It’s first come, first serve with the seating and quite popular — which means you usually have to wait 10 – 30 minutes for a table, but it’s worth it!

Great brunch place! For around 140SEK you’ll get a really good brunch w/American pancakes. Don’t forget to try their orange juice as well!

Best place to fix my pancake cravings! Café Sirap is a great little restaurant near Odenplan, serving American style pancakes. The pancakes here are thick, unlike Swedish ones that is a popular lunch item on Thursdays. The pancakes are similar to what you get at any American establishment, but with high quality and taste. These are served with variety of toppings to satisfy your cravings. Sirap is a popular Brunch spot on weekends and tends to get crowded pretty quickly(which means long wait for a table). As with any other place in Stockholm, people tend to hang around at the table chatting even after finishing their meal. So if you are planning to come here on a weekend, make sure you get early to secure a seat. Would have given 5 stars, but for the pain you have to endure waiting for a table and watching already seated patrons devour the delicious food right in front of your eyes :-(

I’ve had Swedish food once since I moved to Stockholm. For the most part, my diet has been monopolized by Thai, Italian, Japanese, coffee, pasta salad. So you could imagine my excitement when I was going to eat pancakes!!! Oh wait. They’re American. American food. Never had it. Wonder if it’s good. Just kidding. I AMAMERICAN!!! AND I LOVEPANCAKES!!! AAAAAAHHHHHHSOHAPPY! NOMNOMNOM! So a co-worker suggested we all go out for Amerikan Pancakes Breakfast(she’s Dutch and that’s how she talks). A group of about 12 of us went and we indulged in the experience that is Swedish pancakes in Stockholm. Ready for this? They were BETTER than American ones!!! They were richer, more buttery pancakes. They were smaller in size, so you didn’t feel like it was a massive American portion that sent you spiraling into a food coma. They were more cooked than American pancakes so they had that nice greasy crust around the edges that I love when I make my own pancakes. They served their pancakes with a plethora of toppings that you could choose from, from apples, to blueberries, to BACON!!! They also cooked some ingredients right into the pancakes. If you don’t like pancakes they have a wide range of other American breakfast food. A great breakfast place to go to and packed on weekends. Even with a reservation, the hostess overbooked and we were forced to wait about a half-hour. So just be prepared.
