If you like your cappuccino with more than just a dusting of cocoa, this is the place!
Café seems to have changed hands — under the «Brandli» name now but that means you get a Brandli chocolate with your pastry. Coffee, croissant, chocolate — perfect breakfast.
Coffees are handmade, not from an automated machine. Was here at opening time as pastries unloaded, so it’s clear baking doesn’t take place here.
Indoor tables, indoor bar (with alcohol), and outdoor seating on a busy pedestrian street.

Gute Lage in der Stadt, nicht überragend, aber auch nicht schlecht. Aus der Inneneinrichtung könnte man mehr herausholen. Süsses und Kaffee tiptop.

Ich kann mich gruzzi nur anschliessen. So stellt man sich ein Café in Basel doch vor. Neben einer grossen und saisonal ergänzten Auswahl an Getränken findet man auch eine grosse Auswahl an Süssspeisen und Gebäcken. Was leider noch nicht perfekt ist, ist die Bedienung. Oft wartet man lange, bis man wieder mal jemanden sieht und teilweise lassen sich die Angestellten zu unhöflicher Knappheit hinreissen im Sinne von Sie wünschen?! anstelle von Grüezi. Aber das nimmt man hier in Kauf.
