This typical Swiss Tea Room is home to the best fruit tart my taste buds have encountered thus far. I have always come at off hours, just for this tantalising mid day treat. I finally had the opportunity of coming at Lunch and trying one of their sandwiches. You can take your order away, or have it served to you if you are staying in. They also have a soup of the day or salads to choose from as well. I chose the Chicken Curry sandwich and was pleasantly surprised by their version, as it actually had flavour. I would only change the sandwich bread, while good, it was a bit too much on the bread side. There is a large area for seating, and there almost always seems to be at least a few spots available — even though this place is usually packed. There is nothing memorable about the inside décor, it is simple and clean. Yes, I couldn’t resist the powers of the fruit tart, one went home with me. I also noticed upon leaving that by the door there is a refrigerator with a selection of homemade ice creams, something to try on another day.
