Very soft and brick oven style margherita pizza (vegetarian), cheese was light too and I was able to eat the whole pizza without feeling too full.

Sehr gute Gelato. Aber schlechter unfreundlicher Service. Wie sind nach dem Abendessen für Kaffee und Gelato zu viert zum Restaurant gegangen. Es waren die Hälfte der Tische frei aber nur einer der mich dreckig war wurde uns offeriert. Nach Anfrage wurde uns gesagt das die anderen Tische nur für das Abendessen verfügbar sei. Auch wurden wir lange ignoriert mit der Bestellung. Mit solchem Service macht es nur Sinn das dieses Restaurant so leer ist an einem Freitag Abend. Wir werden zurückkommen um Gelato für take-​out abzuholen, aber nie hier essen kommen. Sehr schade das es dem Personal nicht in den Sinn kommt das wir auch potenzielle Kunden für ein Abendessen sein hätten können.

A lot of these reviews are a couple years old. Something might have happened in between then and 2015. The food is okay. I had very salty pasta (fruit de Mar) with just baby clams and mussels. It’s was just convenient and closes at midnight but I wouldn’t come here again for the food.

Gutes Italienisches Restaurant. Faire Auswahl an Mittagsmenüs, gemütliche Atmosphäre, sofern man nicht gleich beim Eingang sitzt. Nicht zu gross aber auch nicht zu klein.

This is a fantastic restaurant in Alstadt. Very small and quaint with tables very close to one another. The waiter had a great sense of humor and was very good at his profession. We ordered the Tuna Carpaccio appetizer which was amazing.
For the entrees we had Veal Scaloppini, Scampi and the Carbonara. Everyone loved their entrees. It was the best Veal with Lemon/​butter sauce I have ever had. Nice wine list. Great desserts. This is an establishment you must visit when in Zurich. Of course typical Zurich prices but well worth the spend.

Seit wie vielen Jahren schon wurde kein Beitrag über dieses Restaurant verfasst? Viel zu viele Jahre, denn es scheint sich nichts geändert zu haben: exzellente ital. Küche ohne Firlefanz. So wie man es sich erwartet. Freundliches und nettes Service runden das positive Erlebnis ab. Sehr zu empfehlen!
Warum dann nicht 5 Sterne? Es ist wirklich laut hier und ein Blick in die Küche verrät, dass man ohne Haarnetz arbeitet und in einem Fall mit Strassenkleidung arbeitet.

This is just another one of the many pretentious eateries in Zurich. The waiters were dressed like they were serving food at the Oscars. I am convinced that all of the flash is a vain attempt to justify the exorbitant prices.
Let’s get to the pizza. The dough was undercooked, the cheese was bland, and it cost 30 francs per plate per person. This place exemplifies Zurich cuisine, they serve you what essentially amounts to flour and water and expect you to pay out the nose for it.

Saw this place on Unilocal with good reviews. I was so disappointed. They said 10 minute wait & 45 mins later we got a seat. The pizza was the best I ever had. Certainly will return as it was very good.

Have visited this restaurant already 3 times now and I keep wanting to go back. I particularly like the nice and cheerful, but in the same time cozy, atmosphere inside, as well as their tomato soup.
I’ve had their pastas several times and, even though I wouldn’t rank them among the best I ever tried, they are certainly good. I once tried the grilled chicken; that one I really liked.
Desert is also very tasty, just give it a try.
Looking forward to trying their pizza…

Their Carbonara dish is like out of this world… thick, creamy, awesomely heart-​attack-​on-​a-​plate delicious!
The food here is always amazing; their beef filet is juicy and tender and the grilled vegetables and potatoe wedges on the side are that deliciously crisp, perfectly just-​slightly-​overgrilled texture.
The place is always packed as well, lunch and dinner, but the staff, in that typical Italian, chaotic friendliness style, always manages to find a place for you. At lunch it’s filled with suits from the nearby offices, as service is surprisingly speedy during the lunch rush. Their lunch menus are also of very good value, which includes a salad, a choice of main (and possibly a dessert too that is option? Can’t really remember).
In the evenings, all kinds of local, tourists (although I haven’t seen so many Asian tourists, theres a lot of Italians though) come to this tucked away little paradise of Italian eatery.

Gutes, angenehmes italienisches Restaurant. Ich kann das Rindsfilet sehr empfehlen, sehr gut mit erfrischendem Gemüse! Eine grosszügige Weinkarte, guter Service und ein nettes Ambiente. Kleiner Tipp: eher früh hingehen, da hat man die ungeteilte Aufmerksamkeit des Personals.
Zum Charme trägt bei, dass eigentlich niemand deutsch spricht vom Personal.

Came here again with my friends during a weekend Zurich stay. The servers remembered me and gave me a warm welcome. I felt as if I had come back to visit with friends. I love that! Everyone’s food was amazing and definitely no complaints. I so wish I could bring this restaurant back to the Geneva side of Switzerland.

Wer ein eher edleres italienisches Restaurant sucht, der fühlt sich im «Restaurant Postiano» sicher wohl. Das Lokal, zu Beginn der Stampfenbachstrasse, gleich beim Central, serviert sehr mediterrane Speisen aus Süditalien. Ich befürchte sogar, dass die Besitzer aus dem untersten Teil unseres südlichen Nachbarn kommt.
Das Essen schmeckt köstlich, was den leicht höheren Preis –im Gegensatz zu anderen italienischen Restaurants– schnell vergessen lässt. Noch köstlicher sind aber die gut 20 hausgemachten Eissorten in einer Eistheke. Die Vorfreude auf die Schlemmerei steigere ich jeweils, indem die in italienischer Spracher aufgeschriebenen Eissorten zu verstehen versuche.
«Postiano», so sagen es die Italiener, sei die Perle der Amalfiküste. Das Dorf mit den vielen weissen und rosafarbenen Häuser am steilen Hang des «Sant’Angelo» ist ist der erste grössere Ort der amalfitanischen Küste.

Ein ganz ordentlicher Italiener ist das Positano, und zentraler als gleich hinter dem Central geht’s nun wirklich kaum. Die Pizza ist ausgezeichnet, und die Gelateria lockt nicht nur im Sommer.
