İstanbul Cevahir AVM

I think this is Istanbul’s biggest mall?
Anywho, I was not that impressed. The stores are mostly the same stores you find in every other mall in the world. There are so many Zara’s here (Zara, Zara Home, Pull and Bear, etc.).
If you are like me and were wanting to find Muslim/​traditional/​cultural clothes or sals… you are completely out of luck here. Other than a tiny Armine kiosk, there is nothing hijab-​friendly to be found (despite the many hijabis walking around).
I noticed that some of the signage in the mall is in Arabic. I find it interesting (and hilarious) that Istanbul malls and stores are starting to cater to the thousands (millions?) of Middle Eastern shoppers that come to Istanbul to spend like crazy. I guess it’s a good thing!
Finally, I will say that the food court here is awesome. Check out the top two floors for some good grub. And there’s an amusement park, cinema, and a grocery store on the first floor.
Almost forgot: the metro takes you directly to this mall! The station is actually under the mall. That was convenient.

I have to agree with the other reviewer. This mall is really rather blah, as far as shopping goes. But if you are looking to accomplish other things, like home improvement, dining, movies, entertaining children or family time, this place could be great! We bought a bathmat at the «Home Depot» like store called «koctas» then did some grocery shopping and bought some wine, then checked out the «amusement park» that has a bowling alley, bumper cars and roller coaster. We also stopped at the movie theater and considered watching Divergent as grey had a 6pm showing in English. So there is a lot to do, just shopping wasn’t one of them for me. They have a few American stores, like Nine West, but crazy mark up! A pair of shoes I bought at home for about $ 60 were $ 260TL ($ 130 US dollars)
So depending on what your needs are, this could be the place for you.

I went to this mall on a very rainy day (as a rule, I don’t go to malls while on vacation!). While there are hundreds of shops, I found it underwhelming. There was absolutely nothing unique about this mall and I left empty handed. They do have two floors of restaurants, but I think that’s the only bonus!

Diverse average brands, huge complex, distasteful interiors, crowded all times.

Also kurz und knapp: alles was man sucht auf einem Fleck! Von allen unzähligen Mall’s in Istanbul die wie ich finde übersichtlichste…

Was für ein Einkaufszentrum. Und das sagt jemand der aus Berlin kommt und einige Zentren in Berlin zur Auswahl hat. Aber die sind dagegen ja Kinderläden.
Als erstes muss man durch die Sicherheitskontrolle. Das ist in Istanbul in den Einkaufszentren inzwischen normal. Wie beim Flughafen. Wenn man die passiert hat, stehen einen 7 Etagen zur Verfügung. Wir waren leicht erschlagen. Und dann noch der Lunapark bzw. Atlantis Park über 3 Etagen, mit Achterbahn und freiem Fall, fiel uns gar nichts mehr ein.
Klar man findet die üblichen Verdächtigen, aber auch Läden die es in Deutschland nicht gibt. Geschoppt haben wir nicht, ich glaube da brauch man mehr als einen Tag für. Wir sind jede Etage abgelaufen und haben uns alles angeschaut und das hat schon ewig gedauert.
Wenn ich nochmal dort sein sollte, dann möchte ich dort mal shoppen gehen. Ach so und auf jeder Etage gibt es mehrere WCs. Da könnten unsere Bauherren der Zentren sich mal ein Beispiel nehmen.

Sicherlich ist die Cevahir Shopping Mall kein Ort für Hippies oder Asketen und wer hier ein besonders orientalisches Einkaufserlebnis erwartet, wird mit Sicherheit enttäuscht werden. Freilich muss man nicht extra nach Istanbul fliegen um bei Zara oder Lacoste einkaufen zu können. Jedoch bietet dieser Konsumtempel aufgrund seiner gewaltigen Größe und der Unmenge an Boutiquen enorme Einkaufs-​Möglichkeiten. Darüber hinaus gibt es in der Mall einen kleinen Vergnügungspark samt Achterbahn über 3 Etagen.
In Anbetracht dessen, dass man auch hier gut und günstig einkaufen kann (Zara und andere Geschäfte sind weitaus günstiger als in Deutschland und schließlich kriegt man ja die Mehrwertsteuer am Flughafen zurück), kann ich einen Besuch in der Cevahir Mall nur empfehlen.

Wer einen Shopping Urlaub in Istanbul plant wird nicht a, Cevahir Shopping Mall vorbei kommen. Lt. Wikipedia ist es die größte Megamall in Europa mit über 280 Geschäften.
Istanbul ist immer einen Besuch wert und diese Mall auf jeden Fall auch!
