Great tune but very tough, bland and expensive lobster. Owner was nice but waitress was rude.

Hard to describe. Depends on the menu and the night. I’ve been there 3 times within a couple of months. Once was fabulous. Once was good. Once was meh. The service has always been good. The whole snapper is good — but it’s the only «sure thing» and you are charged by size. I can’t remember exactly but like $ 26 a pound. So if all they have is a 2 lb snapper, you are paying $ 52. To me, this restaurant would be on my «B» list.

Great family owned establishment with service to match… impeccable for the island. And very good food. Fresh ingredients and great flavors. Recommend for foodies and general public alike. Frequent NY and SF and everywhere in between frequently, and love coming back to the Lime Inn.

We are so glad to see Rick open up earlier in the off season again here in St. John. We had the opportunity to drop I last night. I had the oysters on the half shell and they were as delicious as any I’ve found anywhere. My wife got the crab cakes and I had the 1.75 lb spilt lobster tail. All was delicious, the bar drinks where great and the staff fast and fiendly. Check them out next trip down. We will next year again!

Let’s start with Alex at the bar, what a genuine and decent person. Funny, personable, and just an all around good server.
We went here twice during our stay on St. John, and both times we had great food and libations.
Lobster and steaks the first night, and steaks and pasta the second night. Plenty of booze going around, and omg the hot fudge brownie sundae? Amazing!
Definitely something on the menu for everyone.

Someone told us to go for the all you can eat shrimp on Wednesday. Well, we went to try it out. Please be aware that you have to peel and devein the shrimp. It was tasty, but I started to get disgusted when having to devein the shrimp. Plus, it’s too much work. So, don’t order the all you can eat. Yuk!

We have been going to Lime inn for years and it seems like the prices keep creeping up but the food stays the same. I found it expensive for dishes that are a little old and lacking any imagination Service was excellent.

Went to the Lime Inn because they had broiled lobster on the menu, but unfortunately, it wasn’t available last evening, but they did track us down to inform us prior to our going over. We did appreciate that
So we tried the mussels appetizer which ad a great broth and was so flavorful. For my entrée, I had the shrimp and scallop scampi which also had great flavor, but my wife’s steak and shrimp was totally devoid of seasoning or flavor. No care was put into the preparation of that steak, the cut wasn’t great and the cow died in vain. It was an average meal in a pleasant environment, the owner engaged us and our server Greba was very pleasant

Though my meal was good and service was exemplary, I found it to be not the best value for the money. Their pricing was like that of a higher end place but my meal didn’t really seem to warrant the high price tag. I get that everything on the island is more expensive, but they do seem to be overcharging for what it is that you get. I had the chicken special that was a lightly floured breast of chicken with some sauteed asparagus, bell peppers and capers. It was was a good meal, but like everything else on the menu it seemed horribly overpriced. I’ve heard that the best time to go there is for lunch. Perhaps that might be what I do when I find myself in St John again.

Everything’s was so salty… so salty. Honestly if not for that it would be 5 stars. Try the snapper, it was the best of all the things my group had (spicy shrimp, crab, scallops)

Excellent meal and very friendly service. Prices are very reasonable considering you’re in St John. We had the whole snapper which was cooked perfectly. Lobster was also cooked perfectly. I will definitely eat here whenever I return to St. John.

This restaurant was recommended by the taxi driver who gave us a tour of the island. What a great find! My family and I had lunch here and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their food and the ambiance. We were met by the bartender (wish I had gotten his name… young man, worked during lunch hour) who immediately made my children feel special and welcome. Our waitress was also friendly and attentive.
My children ordered the kid’s pizza and we actually saw the cook ROLLING out the dough! No pre-​made, frozen pizzas here! The kids loved it and so did the adults. It’s rare to find a place that will make something fresh on a children’s menu.
The adults all had different salads… the local organic, the house with fresh fish on top. Perfectly cooked! My father had the smoked fish salad… loved it. The ice tea was excellent and the bartender was not lying when he said he makes a mean Mojito! Everything was fresh… which was key to our experience. For dessert, we had the apple crumb cake and the brownie sundae. My nearly-​90-​year-​old grandfather said that was the best brownie he’s EVER had! How’s that for an endorsement?! We will definitely be back next trip to St John.

Have been going to the Lime Inn since I was a little girl. Always have enjoyed the food and atmosphere! Tuna was amazing! Each of us got our own entrée and decided at the table while our server was taking our order that we would share a salad as an app before our entrée. Was surprised when we got our bill and charged a $ 2 split plate fee (salad came out on 2 plates). I understand charging that for an entrée split but was disappointed that we were charged that for an app– which are meant to be shared, especially since we all ordered our own meals as well.
Overall, will be back but just more specific I guess.

The Lime Inn was a really good place to dine. From the friendly nature of the staff and owner to the tasty and perfectly portioned appetizer, entrée, and desserts, this was one of the better restaurants on the island. I highly recommend the scallop appetizer.
My only gripe is they served my red wine chilled and it was just awful. I’m one of those people that hates to complain for fear of a waiter or bartender spitting in my food or drink so I just drank it.

Stopped here for lunch a great place to eat or drink. Good fish dishes and very friendly staff. It’s been here for a long time. Not far from ferry. Every one seemed to be enjoying themselves.

Casual and friendly, this restaurant has a really great vibe to it– from calling for a reservation to being seated and leaving– everyone was friendly and welcoming! It was really nice!
After being seated, (by the way, the maître D pulled out my chair!), we were greeted by our server and the hostess with the evenings specials. We enjoyed mojitos, light and fresh, and our warm fresh bread, before splitting a colorful and delicious Greek Salad (fresh garlic!).
I enjoyed the fresh grilled Carribean Lobster — it was amazing– and my companion had the shrimp scampi with linguini (tails on– minor inconvenience). Then, we had key lime pie and a walnut pie for dessert. What a wonderful and positive way to end a great week on St John.
So glad we found this place!
