We had to wait for an hour to get our room, but our patience paid off. Ana, the new manager as of three weeks ago, was delightful to work with, even though she was dealing with a deluge of customers. I think she upgraded our room because the room we were supposed to have received was not ready. Also, we remained calm and respectful to her. Hint, hint — to all Type-A personalities with little patience. We stayed in one of the double-bed rooms on the first floor a week ago before our boat charter. The room was clean, and more than what we expected for the price. After the boat charter, we returned and received the aforementioned upgrade. The room had a terrace overlooking Lindbergh Bay and the view was amazing. The room was clean and quite lovely. We wish Ana and her staff the best of luck, and many calm customers with patience.

The front desk staff was not near as nice as I’m accustomed to from the other service industry workers here in the U.S.V.I. Acted like I was bothering her. Got to room after going down a lot of steps, which was difficult, and passing a pool and restaurant that was already closed for the night. Thought we had booked two double beds so we were quite surprised to see one queen bed. Called the front desk and asked for another room, women said, «we’re all booked that’s what you reserved.» And hung up! My brother called back and asked if they had a cot. «No!» Asked if they had any extra blankets. «No!» Obviously that’s not good customer service. Room was tiny. TV was at a weird angle so you couldn’t watch in bed. Huge dead cockroach on the doorstep. Turns out I only have bad things to say about the place. I wouldn’t book here again.

Don’t do it. For the prices, it’s mediocre at best. You can hear EVERYTHING from the halls, so your constantly woken up at all hours of the night and morning. There is no elevator so we had to drag our heavy luggage up stairs. And then they would clean the room, and not replenish the towels! When asked for more towels, I received major attitude from the cleaning lady and was told they were all dirty and I had to wait. Excuse me? Don’t take my towels from my room if you don’t have any to replace it. What kind of hotel runs out of clean towels! Not for the price of $ 250 a night. I’ll never go back.

Rooms are in great condition and the hotel staff is friendly, but the restaurant has ruined our stay. 25 minutes to get our coffee. 15 more for the first dish to come out, and I don’t mean course. They started sending out our food one item at a time. By the time the second dish arrived my father had finished his plate. And when my dish finally arrived I was the only one eating. If this in it self wasn’t bad enough, don’t worry there’s more. The food was lukewarm at best as if it has been sitting for a while since coming off the stove, much of it was overcooked and incredibly some was undercooked. Want a refill on your beverage? That’ll be 15 minutes. Need a set of silverware? 10 minutes. The waitress at dinner was at least friendly and interesting to talk to, but the next morning at breakfast the waitress could not have been more disinterested. I order an iced tea, and though she said ok and dissapeared to get it, she returns five minutes later empty handed. «We brew our iced tea on demand. So… Do you still want it?» Seriously? I can understand hating your job, I can understand the apathy that goes along with that. What I don’t understand is how you can be so bad at your job, that I a fellow waiter and bartender feel nothing but contempt for you. I think I’ve said enough. Hotel gets 4 stars and the restaurant gets none. Does two seem fair?

Literally all rooms have a sea view! Its swimming pool, bar, and beach chairs are all just beside the sea. Has beach towels for use at no charge.

This place beats all here is why. The beach view from the hotel is excellent, clear blue waters and amazing landscape views. From any room in the place. Really nice bar area, The bartenders are ok but there was one with a dark beard that was caught up with everyone. It was ok to mingle but not to the point where your standing there waiting for service while he gossips. I traveled to other locations in st. thomas and if your with family this is more for you. The other places like bolongo bay had a bunch of hung over guys the next morning when we went to see the place. Food over at bolongo bay was not so great! But that’s another review I will get to. Another great thing I loved about this place was the roosters that sang in the mornings(the chickens guy’s) that was nice. It reminded me of the real tropical Experience I was looking for. The pool was nice and good for cooling off as it provided nice shade! Long story short, I like the very nice things in life and when I rented this place I didn’t think it was going to be great but if you rent a room here and your looking to relax and feel like your in the tropics then this is a good place. It’s full of green plantations and crystal blue waters. Enjoy!!!

On our current trip to St Thomas, we stayed here for two days before heading to Water Island. When we arrived they told us the bar will open at 3pm, yet no one would acknowledge us until 4pm. The bartender with tattoos kept saying«I don’t have keys»; however were sitting down at the far tables since 2pm. The service was super slow. What made it worse, was on Christmas night the chef came out and screamed and berated the bartender in front of a crowded bar. Everyone at the bar shared our feelings toward the sweetheart bartender. The only reason I am giving the hotel two stars is for the very courteous front desk staff.

Amazing! We feel like we are at home with the room! The view is awesome and the staff is super nice! You can walk to this from the airport no need for a taxi! If you need a taxi to go anywhere just ask the staff they will call one for you! Always use the taxis that are registered a lot of people here just act as taxis so be careful! Overall loved our stay! For $ 150 it was well worth it!!! :)

If you are planning for an affordable vacation spot, this place is worth consideration. The rooms were comfortable and adequate. They were clean and not too«tired.» The staff was fabulous. They made our stay very comfortable. Each room has a ocean view. Third floor is the best and most private. Early check-in is available if a room is open — it was for us. The gift shop is small and is open generally from 10 am and ranges to 3pm — 7pm or later. Again, the staff was great in the gift shop — all of them were super helpful. The restaurant is a bit pricey, but has good food. The all– american breakfast is a bit overpriced at 16.95 per person. Order off the menu and skip the buffet. The bartenders were super nice and offered a lot of information about the area and of course the rum! You receive a free rum punch per person when you arrive. It’s a nice touch to welcome you. The hotel offered eco-friendly shampoo, conditioner and soap that was a bit over drying. There was also lotion. No need to bring any of these, except maybe body wash as we did not like the soap. The hotel is far from down town if you are considering walking. You can pick up the dollar safari ride at any of the bus stop pull offs. Just ask $ 1.00? or look for locals on the trucks. It will cost you $ 2.00 to ride the truck the entire loop which takes you from(near the airport ROAD) down to Red Hook, up to the center of the island — Tutu and then back around to downtown and the airport road. Take the taxi as least as possible as they will charge $ 6.00 base rate and then it goes up the farther you decide to go. We mixed it up and took the $ 1.00 safari to downtown and then a taxi to Megan’s Bay($ 8.00 per person on way.) The taxi are regulated, but make sure to confirm the cost BEFORE you get on. You really don’t need to rent a car — they also drive really crazy AND fast. Most of the cars are all damaged if that gives you any indication of how people drive there!!! You can walk to the hotel from the airport. Maybe a 10 minute walk. Super easy walk along the waterfront. DON’T TAKE A TAXI from the airport to the hotel if your luggage is on wheels. It will be a waste of money. The bed was comfortable and there were enough pillows and blankets to be comfortable in the AC room. Sometime the cleaning staff would forget to leave T.P. or coffee cups or the little room stuff, but the front staff was super helpful and got what we needed. There are no elevators so you will carry your bags up the stairs — they also have staff to help. Go shopping on cruise ship days otherwise the stores closed down around the island. The beach tended to be more crowed on cruise ship days, but was not overwhelming. The beach offered jet ski rentals, kayak rentals, snorkeling rentals and I think one other type of water rental. My husband and I would most definitely stay there again.

This is NOT your typical Best Western. Has an amazing location right on the bay, with a cute little swimming pool. OK the rooms are not 2014 but please, you are in paradise, get out of the room and smell the ocean air! Also on the hotel premises is a surprising treasure; the oceanside bistro. The bistro is operated by the friendliest and the most amazing woman on the island. Her presence gives life to the bar and brings delights to the kitchen. Unlike most other«seafood» establishments on the island, the fish here is as fresh as it gets. Stop in anytime, breakfast, lunch or dinner and you just might catch a taste of the Caribbean flavor.

We arrived in St Thomas late at night and didn’t have time to catch a ferry that evening to St Johns. We chose this hotel because the price was decent but mostly because it was right by the airport. We took a cab from the airport for $ 12 but easily could have walked(even with my wife being 7 months pregnant). The hotel is a bit dated and ground floor was somewhat loud but it was good enough for what we needed. The proximity to the airport also allowed us to walk back the next day to pick up our car rental, which saved money on taxis. We also have a nice ocean view ocean from our unit and there is an oceanfront pool. I would not recommend staying here for your entire trip but we would stay here again if we needed a place close to the airport for a night.

Is it Best Western or brandless motel? Rude front desk staff(although not all and not always). Check-in time is 4 pm, but we arrived @ 4:05 and still had to wait until 4:40 pm, because the room was not ready and staff ignored us. The shuttle to 2nd Best Western is confusing: it is scheduled to run every hour, but wouldn’t run unless you ask for it… How can it be? Isn’t it what schedule is for? Confusing… In-room safe didn’t lock(although they fixed it promptly), the room smelled of heavy chemicals and bleach, TV had poor signal, and most important: their«free WI-FI» worked intermittently — most of the time just didn’t… We had extremely loud neighbor across the wall who played cards on the adjoining balcony, loudly commented on the weed he smoked and never seemed to sleep — but the front desk did not care about our complaints. Yes, the location and the view from the balcony are perfect, but still: very overpraised hotel.

Clean with AC. A bit run down and no hot water. Very very close to the airport but hard to find(behind the port authority).
