The Jays Guest House is a centrally located 4 star bed and breakfast establishment, with en suite facilities, private car park and free WiFi. The ten tastefully decorated bedroom, each have flat screen, Freeview TV, tea/​coffee making facilities, clock/​radio, central heating and double glazing. All bathroom have mains pressure showers and towels are changed daily.

The Jays Guest House is ranked No.1 in Trip Advisor, who have awarded the business a Certificate of Excellence for 2014 — the fourth successive year. The Automobile Associate and VisitScotland have each awarded The Jays a 4 star rating.

The guest house is close to Aberdeen University, AECC, Sports Village, Historic Aberdeen, Family History Centre and many more attractions, associated with a large cosmopolitan city.

We now offer rooms on a bed only basis. This has become extremely popular with our business guests, who invariably are wining and dining with associates the previous evening.

History

Established in 1982.

The building at 422 King Street, Aberdeen, was built between 1872 and 1874 and has been a guest house for a good number of years, proir to being acquired by Alice and George Jennings, in November, 1982. Since then the building has been totally renovated and in September, 1993, work was commenced on a rear extension, which was completed in early 1994. This enlarged the business to 10 bedrooms, 8 of which have en suite facilities, while the remaining two each have their own private bathroom.

On 5^th November, 2015, the owners Alice and George Jennings will have been 33 years in business, at the guest house and on retaining their good health and enthusiasm for the bed and breakfast life, plan to have many more years at The Jays Guest House.
