Fantastic! My all-time favourite Asian restaurant ever. I don’t live in that area anymore and I totally miss it. Came to visit in summer and brought my brother and he was impressed. The buffet has a vast variety of dishes and the taste is simply great. The price isn’t the lowest, but the food is definitely worth it. My recommendation: crispy chilly chicken.

An all you can eat oriental restaurant which is always busy. A lot of the clientele are Asian which is a good endorsement. There is a good range of starters including peking duck, main courses and puddings. Puddings are a bit of a let down but usually by then you are stuffed so not really much of an issue. I also notice the food is constantly refreshed which is one thing I notice does not always happen in this style of eatery. Parking is close by and generally pay and display(Even on Sunday). Price varies on day and time but are in line with other similar restaurants i.e. around the £12 for adults and half for kids. Better value and quality than a lot of others out there so go for it.

At first glance this restaurant looks extremely grand from the outside however the internal décor lets it down a bit as it is a little dated and flakey in places. It could definately do with a spruce up! There is masses of choice on the hot plate and the staff do try and keep it filled up. The food itself is ok(if you like lots of MSG) but nothing special as there are far better Chinese/Thai/Indian(or whatever they decide they are) restaurants around. The only plus here for many people is the fact that you can fill your face for a set price. Great for fatties, ok for the average diner. The staff are very friendly and will try to accommodate you, whether in a small or large party, as best they can. My main issue with this establishment is the cleanliness. Local Authority EHOs have threatened to close this place down on many occassions due to its very poor hygiene standards and the continued rodent problems from which it suffers. Personnally I would avoid this place as there are far better oriental cuisine restaurants(which are far more hygeinic) to chose from in the local area and if you want an all you can eat oriental restaurant then visit Camberley because they have an excellent one!

Good Chinese and Indian food(Buffet), run by Nepalese staff. Thai dishes are poor. They could do with topping up the buffet containers more as some dishes are empty quite often. Most staff are friendly. The Décor is very naff — shame as it’s a nice old building. You have to get your own cuttlery — shame as the waiters just stand most of the time and they could easily do this for you.

This is an amazing restaurant. All food is buffet style and there is an enormous range of eastern dishes. Currys, stir-frys, starters, vegetables and salad. Your pudding is also included in the price of your meal — ice cream, fruit salad and cake is available usually — you do have to pay for your drinks separately though. They are quite happy to cater for large groups even without prior notice. Definitely worth a visit!

An all you can eat restaurant that’s not only good value for money, but the food and service are great too. It is very child friendly and lots of foods to chose from. You’d be best to book ahead most nights as it does get quite busy.

This is my fave restaurant, The value for money is exceoptional for the kind of food they have on offer. The offer lots of types of food from Chinese to English etc. The staff are warm and welcoming and provide a good service. There is a good atmosphere and I always keep coming back. As the above reviewer I would book in advanced as they do get really busy!

AMs is situated in the centre of Aldershot in the old Lloyds bank building. Its is a airy, spacious restaurant that operates an ‘All you can eat’ buffet system. They have around 60 dishes on offer at a time and serve dishes from China, Malaysia, Singapore, India and Thailand. You can eat in or buy a container and fill it up yourself to take away. It is a brilliant way to try new dishes without commiting to a full size portion from an ordinary takeaway. AMs is very child friendly, and also welcome groups — the seating is very flexible and they arrange the tables into any combination. Its probably safest to book a table as this is a popular eating place due to the delicious and varied food(including a selection of puddings!) great service and really reasonable prices.

Just what Aldershot needs after the demise of Johnny Gurkhas. This place has had many names and guises, a bank, a bar, a sports bar, a bar with dubious dancers and now its the AM Restaurant. Hope it lasts. A great big hall of a place serving a fantastic buffet with a range of Chinese, Indian, Thai, Malay and Singaporean foods. What a delight to have all of my favourite foods, at my finger tips(eat as much as you like) and all under one roof. This is not your usual buffet, a couple of popular dishes, repeatedly filled up as they empty. There are over 60+ dishes or combinations, there of, and when a dish empties, they take the old one away and replace it with a fresh, clean dish of freshly cooked food. Each one is marked clearly, and there is real meat/fish/poultry in all of the dishes that inc. battered food(not, simply a piece of indescribable, chewy something). Vegetarian Heaven, its all there. The dessert counter is wonderful, a whole range of flavoured Ice Creams, HOT Toffee Apple/Bananas, a number of Gâteau and/or real, freshly cut fruit salad. AM is fully licenced, has complete disabled access — inc tiolets and spotlesly clean and well decorated in a subtle orinetal décor. Of the staff, I can’t speak highly enough of, there were a great number of Gurkhas, serving as waiters, and I suspect that they also own the place. Hence, you have incredibly polite, helpful and smart staff, with enormous patience and presence. Despite being in the centre of a garrison town, there is no trouble and drunks are turned away or offered a take away. Its a fool, that messes with a Gurkha. There are a range of prices starting at £6.50 Lunch and Dinner £10.50 — Slightly more at the weekends. Kids eat half price. Despite these incredible prices, they even have the odd special on a Sunday. The toilets are clean and functional. If you are in the area, pop in, you wont be disappointed.
