Genie Tutors Basildon opened in September 2012. Julie, who owns the Basildon centre, along with her team, offer expert tuition in English, Maths and Science from age 5 to 18 with brilliant results. Our professional tutors help fill any gaps in your child’s learning, build confidence and provide challenging and stimulating activities for more able children.

Business Owner

I am Julie. I trained as a teacher in Basildon and am aware of the diverse individuals in the town and surrounding area. After teaching for many years in local secondary schools, I wanted to do more to help children succeed. Genie Tutors allowed me to focus on the teaching aspect, which I am passionate about. I am able to ensure both child’s and parents’ needs are addressed in a pleasant learning environment.

I tutor GCSE Maths and prepare students for entrance exams. I will be the first person you will speak to you regarding your child’s needs. Not only do I have a wealth of teaching experience, I also have personal experience of being a parent to a child with specific learning difficulties and sensory impairment, so therefore have the experience to advise you on the best next steps for your child.
