This specialist shop has been around for an age and it has to be said its selection of sporting/​hunting/​outdoorsy goods are second to none. Most impressive is their huge selection of fishing equipment… they have all the rods, reels, flies you could possibly want and they also sell them as kits which is a slightly more cost effective purchase as well.
There are all sorts of hunting and shooting accessories as well and this stuff ranges from air-​rifles right up to more powerful firepower. Also in stock they have a large selection of archery equipment plus crossbows and slingshots.
Obviously to go with all this weaponry they have outdoor clothing, a small selection of camping gear and the usual knives, tools and the like to make sure everything works smoothly.
This is a good place to visit if you’re serious about your hunting or fishing and definitely one of the more impressive family run stores in Belfast. The staff are very passionate and knowledgeable about all the stock and will take time to answer any queries you might have.
Pros: Huge selection.
Cons: Obviously quite a specialised selection.

There’s something I’ve always loved about shooting and tackle stores, namely because in my younger days guns fascinated me (not in a dangerous way of course)
I called over here a while back with a friend in search of shotgun shells. I myself don’t have a license but a friend does and we needed to get a few for a day’s shooting.
The place is littered with fishing equipment, tackle, air weapons and ammunition. They have a small rack of well-​secured shotguns towards the back of the store too. We grabbed a box of cheap number six shells (well priced as far as I recall) and headed off.
If you are into fishing I’m sure you’ll be well taken care of here and if you do need ammunition this is one of the few (and oldest) shooting supplies in the city.
