History

Established in 1964.

In 1964, James Sydney Harland decided to leave his employer and venture out into the world to make it in business on his own. James had completed his apprenticeship as a master decorator.

Over the years, technology has made great advances in the science of poly-​resins, making them the obvious choice for home owners and property developers. HARDEC quickly realized that, the skill with which these coatings are applied is essential to their durability and performance.

Almost fifty years later, HARDEC has grown into a vibrant local business. George Harland is now trusted son at the helm HARDEC. We still excel in decorating, but have expanded over the years into property repair and restoration. In particular, we specialize in roof coating and roof repair.
