I’d never heard of Domain restaurant before and having gone past Soho Road so many times, it had never came to mind that I should go in there. To be fair it’s a great place to enjoy a nice meal, especially as they have a large selection of foods to choose from. The food was pleasant and the restaurant itself is decorated to a nice standard. I’d recommend those within the Handsworth/Soho Road area to at least give it a try. The best bit about Domain is their chocolate fountain! Most restaurants don’t have such a feature like this but this restaurant caters for those chocolate lovers– me :) The place is not huge but it does have enough space for you, your family or friends to enjoy a nice meal. Because the restaurant is not too busy, it’s a great place to relax as well. What’s also great is because of the location it’s easy to get into the centre of Birmingham town. So, you can also use public transport to get there.

A stylish restaurant and a place I will be going back to that’s for sure. This is a place you can take your family and friends to and I really do recommend people try the food here. Before you even go to the restaurant, you can have a look at the Food and Drinks Menus at Domain by visiting the above website. So you could literally choose what you want to eat and drink before you arrive here. I have had friends who have come here before and they told me they had an enjoyable experience. And I can’t argue with them. I thoroughly enjoyed the food on offer here and staff made me more than welcome at this pleasant restaurant. Domain can also provide catering for wedding celebrations. And it doesn’t end there. They also provide chocolate fountains using Belgian chocolate. If that doesn’t wet your appetite, I don’t know what will. You can either have a small, medium or large chocolate fountain that can cater for a number of guests. Do visit the website to find out more about Domain but I have to say I have got nothing but praise for this place and its staff.

In all the years I’ve driven through Handsworth, I never noticed Domain Restaurant. That’s probably because its clustered in a narrow row of restaurants and shops. However, I was invited to a reunion here because it turns out this is one of the few local restaurants that can offer dining for a large group of people in ambient surroundings without the noise of other family restaurants. It’s not a large seating area but because the restaurant is not as busy as others in the local vicinity, it’s a welcome break to be able to dine in peace. The décor is simple and bright and the staff are equally as humble. The menu is a comprehensive list of Punjabi cuisine, so expect extra spice and flavour! We enjoyed the thaali, which has a meat option, veg curry, curd, rice, naan/chappati and sweet dish for around a fiver. Cheap as chips!
