My god this place is awful. Nothing freshly made. Straight out of a freezer and reheated. Absolutely awful service. Manager had a laissez faire type approach to guiding his staff. Waited 90mins for starters. Staff keen but very inexperienced and young. Sliding around their floors from all the grease. Contemptible. Horrid horrid horrid. Avoid more than Ebola. Probably my second worst dining experience after when I got projectile vomiting from a alleyway shack in Indonesia and was hospitalised for a week.

Love this restaurant purely for the food and cocktails! Quite expensive, nice atmosphere, friendly enough staff, lovely food and cocktails. A bit of a mixed review because i’m a fussy eater and every time i’ve been to this particular frankies and bennys they have accommodated me and my fussiness very well! That being said i can understand the other people’s reviews, and it can be quite expensive especially if you are hungry and add sides to your meal(one meal will not fill you up without sides — small portions).

The one thing with F&Bs is that you know what to expect. The menu is pretty much what you’d expect from a US themed restaurant together with the 50s music. The staff are polite and service was good. We went at lunchtime ahead of going to the cinema — the lunchtime specials menu is quite good with 2 courses for £9.95. I had the garlic dough balls as a starter — which were not garlicky at all and the dip was a strange concoction which I’m still unsure of I liked or not! For main I had the Louisiana Hot Wrap which lived up to its name but was also quite vinegary. All in all good service but food not as good as I’ve usually experienced. Glad I had a voucher for money off — download Vouchercloud as you get £5 off when you spend £20!

Sunday 3÷2÷13 You know when you have said you’ll never go back and then kids nag you to take them there for breakfast, that happened to me on Sunday. I thought OK, we haven’t tried their breakfast. Seated promptly, and left to decide over drinks and the menu. Waiter returned in good time to see what we wanted: Daughter chose the same as my wife Eggs’ Benedict £5 each Son Amazing Pancakes £5 Me The big Breakfast(2 slices of streaky bacon, two eggs, a slice of black pudding, a serving of baked beans) My wife and I had coffee £1.50 each, with free refills. Children: Frankies Thick Shakes(Chocolate Chip) £3.80 each. Total Bill: £30.90 Coffees arived quite quickly. The coffee taste was very good, one of the best I’ve had for ages. The food arrived for my wife, daughter, and son. I was then asked if there was anything else. Err yes! My breakfast. The food arrived on cold plates, and in hindsight I should have sent them back. I was a bit quicker eating mine, before it went totally cold. My daughet and wife disliked their Eggs’ Benedict, as it soon became cold. At the table check I mentioned the cold plates, and the waiter said he would have a word. He never came back about that word. I tired to get their attention for a coffee refill, and had to wait ages, and once mentioned waited ages again. The issues that caused this was that people were now arriving for lunch, and they just didn’t have the staff to cope. The milkshakes arrived later, and the children said there was little taste, and was mainly cream. They left half of their drinks. I don’t want to return, I shan’t return. Now the kids know why. They won’t return either. or insist on returning. As I was trying to get someone to get me the bill, three ladies were complaining about the time their drinks were taking, and when the food arrived said it was cold. They had the gumption to return their plates. As we went to the desk to pay the bill a family waitied behind us to get a table, and my wife explained our experience, and they walked out and went to the restaurant next door. I feel sorry for the waiting staff, but the chefs(cooks) should know better.

Arrived late morning for a full on breakfast and the service was really friendly, prompt and efficient. Love the layout and the music really makes you feel like you have travelled back in time to a 1940’s NY diner. Breakfast was really filling and great value for money with free refills on tea/coffee. We left feeling full and content.

All in all, a pretty good place. We’re not talking Jamie Oliver, but good grub at reasonable prices

This is not the best exampe of Frankie and Benny’s i have seen. They are very busy on fri and sat evenings. The service isn’t brill. Food was delivered incorrectly last time i went with a party of about 5 friends. Can be very noisy — no good if you have a headache and seems to be more of a kids place than adults — which can make it feel like MacDOnalds — rather than a fairly expensive adults restaurant(meals fro m about £7 to £15)

I’ve been to Frankie and Benny’s numerous times, each time fooling myself that the experience will be better than the last. Inevitably, it isn’t! I’m normally pretty easy going when it comes to eating out but I can’t recommend avoiding this place enough. The 50s style décor and music is cute enough but the food is simply terrible. American/Italian cuisine= bland, tasteless overcooked and often overpriced food. Meals are often ore than £10 and consist of the most basic, rehaeated ingredients. the service has always been ok but the lack of any good food really makes me say, ‘stay away’. The only good thing I can say is that they do cater well to family and children who seem to love the novelty of it all.

I’ve never visited one of this chain before, so it was quite a novelty. ‘New York’ style diner with an open kitchen. and constant Rat Pack music. We sat at a round table which had loads of room to play all the children’s quizzes and games they provide. The downside was we waited ages for our food so us adults were a bit restless. The food was ok when it arrived, nothing out of the ordinary. A big plus was the free refills of drinks as I have a daughter who always drinks copious quantities and so the bill was surprisingly low. Still, we did wait ages for all of our courses.
