Hollier Browne have proved to be a bit of a mixed bag. But then, that’s estate agents for you. We have, in the last week, viewed 3 properties to rent with Hollier Browne. The chap that showed us round all 3 was punctual and pleasant, but didn’t have the foggiest idea about any of the properties. I’m aware that staff can’t know everything about every property, but sometimes they don’t even know what the rent is, who the landlord is or whether you can get out into the garden or not. To me, this seems a little odd, as obviously, everyone is going to be asking the same questions. He also seemed quite keen on getting away at one of the viewings — presumably because it was a Saturday. On the plus side, the guys we dealt with in the office, Ash and Julie, seemed very well-informed and helpful. Julie knew her stuff and was able to get things moving very quickly. They also didn’t have the astronomical administration fees that some places ask for(although they do have fees — just not totally ridiculous ones) and their properties were priced reasonably also.
