Absolutely rubbish customer service!! I bought a Lengha from Kirans and it was too long for me so it was suggested by the assistant in the shop that alterations can be done for £30, as I needed it for a family wedding I agreed and payed for the alterations. When i returned to pick it up they bagged it up in suit bag and I came from outside of Birmingham so thinking all was ok returned home only to find the pins still in the suit no alterations had been done! So I phoned and asked for my money back and they argued with me that the staff are on their video seen to be doing the alterations, and refused to reimburse my money, they said if I take the pins out the suit would fit 'bang on'. Well if the pins are in and I take them out the outfit is way too long but they just argued that they have done their job!!

Soho Road in Birmingham is the hub of high-end, readymade Asian fashion. You’re spoilt for choice but you could soon distinguish between where to shop and where not to by the quality of the clothes. Kiran’s is one of the boutiques that has exceptionally good quality of clothing and embroidery that is finished to a high standard. I like the fact that the staff try on the sarees in front of you so you get an idea of what it would look like on a person rather than seeing it spread across a table. They even offer to tie it on you so you could get an idea of whether it suits you, which is very useful. It’s remarkable how quickly they manage to put it on! They have a generous selection of jewellery so you’re likely to match your accessories with your outfit. They stock men’s sherwani’s, which only make up a small section of the boutique.

As much as I liked the sherwanis for Men on sale here, I didn’t feel enough of them were on offer. I would liked to have seen more sherwanis on show. Women are spoilt for choice and the staff here will try on the saris so you can get an idea of how it might look on you. I have always been able to get along with the staff at Kiran’s and if you do need help, then feel free to ask. Kiran’s also have their own jewellery section alongside the clothes on offer here. So if you are looking for jewellery to wear at a wedding, then you might want to come here and have a look at the selection on offer. Coming back onto the Mens section of the shop, there is not much to choose from and there are only a small number of sherwanis. To be honest I will not be coming back here just simply because there are not enough Mens clothes on offer.
