I’m not a big fan of banks in general, but local branches can be a nightmare. You’ll walk in, happy that there are only a few people ahead of you in the queue and three cashiers behind the windows. Then two of the cashiers will go on their lunch, and everyone in front of you will inevitably be there to pay in some kind of business takings for a week that’s all in ten pence coins. I hate when what you think will be a short wait turns into such a long wait. The Acocks Green branch of Natwest also suffers from another problem — it’s tiny. Very narrow. The queue runs parallel to the cashiers window, so you’re only ever about a yard away from other customers when spilling all your financial secrets to the person behind the desk. That said, the staff are all fairly nice.
