Ashoka Crofters Arms

This place has been on and off for years, it went threw a bad stage and changed hands several times. However it is now an Italian and cocktail bar and I have to say it’s very much improved! A great place for a friends gathering, family’s and party’s. Had some fantastic cocktails here and the interior is lovely. Just one negative, often find myself waiting at the bar a long time waiting to be served.

It’s clouded down now and has been turned into a Thai restaurant. It’s not good, don’t waste your time our money.

I dont like this pub. Despite it being one of the pubs close to my house, it lacks any atmosphere. It is very big and usually empty and reminds me of an eighties throwback. The punters are young and usually just start in here before going into Bolton town centre. The food is cheap pub grub. Ok for a quick butty but nothing more.

A large pub which has a young client base thanks to it several big screens permanently tuned to Sky Sports and cheap drink prices in recent years it has also gained something of a reputation within the village as being a troublemakers pub with the recently installed bouncers feeling like a case of closing the stable door after the horse has bolted. Rumours of a high number of drug users frequenting the pub were proven to me on my last visit with at least one deal being conducted in the ladies toilets.
The bar staff are themselves nothing special, concentrating on getting the drink over the bar and even on quiet evenings little time apparent from plesantries. Food wise the kitchen can provide a decent selection of pub grub type meals which on the whole are of a decent quality, but thanks to the other customers I know few people who will stay longer than to eat their meals.
It has a good sized car park which is often used by people attending events at the local church or school just up the road.

The crofters is a nice little pub located outside of the town center. The staff are friendly and polite and there is a good selection of drinks behind the bar. The pub has alot of television screens located all around the bar and shows alot of sporting events (mainly football). The pub can get quite busy some evenings. It also serves food that is a very reasonable price.
