Envirocare is a leading UKAS and MCERTS accredited Environmental and Occupational Hygiene & Safety Consultancy. We offer monitoring and consultancy services to industrial and commercial customers across a wide range of sectors, in the UK and further afield.
As well as Envirocare being one of the longest running Environmental and Occupational Hygiene Consultancies in the UK. Our team of expert technicians and consultants have over 100 years of combined experience within the industry and are considered leaders in the field. Since formed in 1994, Envirocare has progressively grown, expanding its expertise and range of services to now being accredited for every Environment Agency ‘Standard Reference Method’ regarding Stack Emissions Monitoring plus one of a very limited few to be accredited for Bioaerosol and Odour as well.
History
Established in 1994.
1994 — Formed by Tony Smith, Keith Edmondson and Alden Phillips, three highly qualified individuals who had previously worked together in the local textile industry.
1999 — Provided expert support for a 2 year pan European, EU funded project to control wool process dust in the woollen industry.
2001 — Project managed a 2 year pan European, EU funded project on the environmental and health and safety impacts of lacquers using in UV printing.
2003 — Gained MCERTS accreditation for the monitoring of pollutants to air.
2005 — Gained Investors in People (IiP)
2008 — Attained UKAS accreditation for monitoring dust and noise in the workplace. We are still one of the few consultancies in the country that hold these accreditations and signed a Consortium Framework agreement with another MCERTS accredited stack sampling company to provide a broader base of expertise
2012 — Ray Pullen (Support Services Manager) becomes Chairman of the Source Testing Association

Tony S.
Business Owner
Tony has over 35 years of experience in a large number of industries for the technology transfer of technical/chemical ideas, especially for environmental and H&S issues.
Tony’s areas of expertise are in being able to solve diverse chemical issue in most industry/manufacturing areas.
He specialises in printing & packaging, chemical, textile and coatings industries and has significant experience with chemical risk assessment in manufacturing environments, especially for COSHH and air quality issues.
Tony is active on the working groups of the HSE’s Paving, Road and Highways Project (Health Surveillance and Exposure Monitoring Working Group); the Better Business Environment Forum (BBEF) (ERDF funded) and the Bradford Area Occupational Health & Safety Forum (BAOHSF) using his skills and experience to provide assistance on current environmental and health & safety issues.
