Excellent service to be found here. My son had a problem and was quite appalled when quoted some of the prices. Here at Diamond, after being referred by a cousin, he was surprised by the fairness of the pricing structure. I recommend all fellow Qypers to give Diamond a ring before going any where else. You won’t be sorry!

I woke a few days ago ready to finish a research paper before submission in the afternoon, when I tried to turn on my laptop however… nothing. In a state of panic I went down to Diamond Hardware only to discover a «back in 5 minutes» sign on the front door, 25 minutes a gentlemen in a lovely Hawaiian shirt turned up and let me in. As is always stereotypically the case, he wasn’t the most socially ept of men, and I think he felt some contempt towards me for my lack of PC literacy. None the less, another 20 minutes later and I was on my way with a new charger and the problem was solved.

Diamond Computers are a Brighton based computer and laptop repair company with over a decade of experience behind them. I’m a little bit of a geek with computers, and quite often have my friends bring problems to me which I’m all too happy to fix. I even built the PC I’m typing on now! But when a soldering iron is needed, that’s when I’d get in touch with Diamond. Aside from what I’d consider an overpriced fee for reinstalling windows(£49 for 20 odd minutes work?) the prices seem pretty reasonable, with laptop repair beginning at £25. And if you aren’t tech savvy, but don’t want to shell out for a new computer, Diamond can give advice and lend a hand with selecting and installing components for you! If you have a computer savvy friend you feel you can trust with your laptop/desktop its probably worth asking them first, but for a professional service, Diamond are there if you need ‘em.

Diamond are, indeed, diamonds. For a self employed student, computing facilities are vital, but money to deal with problems is short. When my laptop got the dreaded ‘blue screen of death’, they tried their very best to revive it, sadly to no avail. However, if they had, the £120 it would have cost me would have been half the price of a new machine, and of course, I would have saved all my files. Thankfully, I managed to inherit a friend’s old machine, but was nearly foiled again when the power cable died. I looked in horror at various chainstore websites, selling replacements for around £80 — then I remembered Diamond, who sold me a universal charger for under £30.
