Ahh Lidl! I’ve always wanted to have a little shop around in here but it’s too far away from where I live to get to easily. I drove here the other day for a look round and was so surprised at the cost of the food, which looks to be of pretty decent quality! I’ve had items from other lidls bakery before, so I picked up a couple of savoury items. Sadly, there were only 2 checkouts open and each queue was 10 people deep, so after 10 minutes of waiting and the queues not moving, I left. I’ll try again at a less busy time perhaps?

If you want cheap compost, fresh bread, lots of choice of fresh vegetables and fruits, cheap frozen food and the rest then this is the place! Real mixture of goods but therefore such a great place to visit. I have tried to do my weekly shop here but it didnt quite do it, HOWEVER, for the ‘random’ items, freshly baked bread, nuts(you can scoop up your almonds into bag), cheap and good quality frozen food and fresh produce. . you can’t go wrong! Like it!

Lidl is full of surprises. I like their random section where you can find bits I may or may need. The latest buy recently is some astroturf for our new garden. It has made our garden look a million dollars and for more than half the price. The bakery is also fairly new and an added bonus.

I like this store because it has other brands besides the norm. Its nice to try new things. I wish they would have small shopping baskets. They just have trolleys.

This’ll do for me! So much variation with so much good quality. I have tried several of these store branches and they all come up to scratch ++. Have to say the liqueurs are well priced, but what really does it for me is the stock of antipastas. Add to this the extremely well priced salamis and sausages and I’m in heaven. Great for Italian cooking. Giving it 5 because I just love it!

I recently saw a commercial for a toilet cleaner where you splattered a disc on the side of the rim, which would remain there for a half a dozen flushes, and would ensure that each flush would be one that would clean your toilet bowl. This floored me, and I went on a trek to find this toilet cleaner. My search failed, but I did find a very good grocery store in my attempt. I did purchase a few other toilet cleaners(not that my toilet is super dirty or anything, but I just like it there in case the worst happens), an assortment of fruits and vegetables, and other cleaning supplies(not that my apartment is super dirty or anything, but I just like it there in case the worst happens) at a very good price, and got a few good deals in the process.

Eat your heart out bargain hunters! I wrote a review for our local Lidl in Finsbury Park a few months ago and I would’ve said that I’d eat my hat after that experience if I ever found anything positive to say about Lidl. So here I am, eating my hat. Now– I better be clear that on this most recent visit we weren’t trying to put together a meal unlike when we were in the Finsbury Park branch. All we were after were a few bottles of wine and something to give as an offering of sorts to the friends we were visiting. We didn’t expect to come away with such a good lot of stuff. Aside from the value of the place(discount is the point so I’m not going to hark on about that) or rather should I say despite it, there was a good selection of wines– quite a few things I thought we’d be able to stomach drinking and even might quite enjoy. We finally settled on a wine that my girlfriend happily spotted that she remembers drinking at a lush restaurant around the corner from her gaff and paying £12 for. Quick glance around the store and we’d found a really nice house plant. Sorted. Icing on the cake– a box of kinda surprise for 50p. I was quite keen to pay the store another visit to see what we could find before getting back on the train to London, sadly we didn’t have time. Oh well, there’s always next time.
