Parkrun

Parkrun is a free 5k running event organised by an amazing group of volunteers who give up their time every saturday morning to allow this event to take place in numerous locations throughout the country.
The Brighton and Hove parkrun, located in Hove Park, has been running for approximately three years and it has grown to encompass around 150 runners each week ranging in age from children under 10 to pensioners who put a lot of the youngsters to shame! Having said that, the event is non-​competitative, you are encouraged to race against yourself not others, and all standards are welcomed.
All that is required of the runners is to register on-​line prior to your first run. You will then be issued with a barcode which allows your time to be recorded and your results are normally available on-​line within a few hours.
This is an amazing event that appeals to such a wide range of people. Beginner or experienced runner, I urge you to give this event a go, it may even change your life!
