There isn’t anything particularly special or unique about this newsagents, but it’s handy when you’re in need of a snack or drink or magazine. They do have phone vouchers, and I was once again able to top-up my mobile here. It’s in a very convenient location(as I just spent a few hours at Colin Page Antiquarian Books, and was in desperate need of a drink), so that’s one of the positives about it. Other than that, very typical. And if your needs are simple, this place will do just fine.

This is about the smallest News Agent I’ve been to, and despite its good location isn’t really recommended… Unless there has been a massive accident on the road between you and the much larger and better stocked agent across the road, your better off heading there instead. The standard chocolate, emergency alcohol and newspaper are stocked here, and the lack of much else probably makes it good to pick up a paper quickly in the morning without having to queue for long, but otherwise one of the other many many convenience stores will most likely suite your needs better.

This newsagents is one of many dotted around the city named ‘The Argus’. Although located in a handy spot, just off the bottom of the Old Steine of North Street, it’s pretty standard as newsagents go. You’ll find nuts, chocolate, some basic grocery items, cigarettes, magazines, newspapers etc. I know when I went in there to get a paper on Sunday afternoon it was out of stock, but then it probably was in most places after the morning. All in all this place is okay, but does face competition from the bigger and bolder ‘Well Done’ across the road.
