Specialties
The Manor House Nursery provides a high standard of childcare in a stimulating and friendly environment for babies (from three months old) and young children up to 5 years. It is open from 8am until 6pm on weekdays for 51 weeks of the year. Full-time and Part-time places are available.
We aim to meet the needs of each individual child by offering every opportunity to explore new experiences, provide a framework of responsible behaviour, to encourage, praise and give recognition, love and security.
History
Established in 1994.
The Manor House Nursery was established in 1994 and is situated on the outskirts of Westbury-on-Trym.
The first mention of the Manor House was in 1319 in the Worcester Register of Bishop Cobham. It remained ecclesiastical property until the Dissolution of the Monasteries in the reign of Henry VIII. The Manor House and its estate of 313 acres was purchased in 1872 by Mr H.W. Green who later split the estate into smaller lots which were sold off.
In the 1900’s when the property was occupied by the Holman family, much of the house was destroyed. It was then rebuilt around 1912.
The present owner of this beautiful house is Mr Bob Bennett.
The Nursery is managed by Ms Victoria Heath.
