History
Established in 2006.
The Manor Inn has been the local pub in the Dartside village of Galmpton since the 19th Century but in recent years has gone from a freehold to a brewery tied house to a nationally managed chain pub. When the managed house chain was taken over by Punch Taverns, they decided to put it out to leasehold and in 2006 the lease was taken up by a consortium of locals with a long association with the village and village events.
Since the takeover, the inside has been re-decorated (no more corporate purple) and the outside re-decorated, repaired and re-roofed.
We have refurbished the bar, dining areas and loos and completely re-built the former self-catering letting rooms and transformed them into four outstanding bedrooms, all en-suite and each with its own character.
Do come and visit us — have a look round, have a chat, enjoy the best kept beer in the area, try our wines by the glass or bottle, have a meal and stay the night, followed by a traditional, freshly cooked breakfast.
