What’s new to say about an Apple Store? Well this one in Bromley is not a flag ship one like the Regent Street or Covent Garden branches but it does the job. I had ordered bought and paid for an item on line and been given the option to collect from a store of my choice. mBromley being my local and the fact that I had bought from it before and felt that the staff were good made it a simple choice and it was a Sunday afternoon so who in their right mind wants to fight their way into the west end on a Sunday afternoon! Once I arrived at the store, which was heaving with the usual people tapping, swiping and testing Apple products, some people did look as though they were just sat doing nothing? I was quickly approached by one of the sales staff who started the useful can I help you pitch. I deflated her a little, once she paused to draw breath, that I had already ordered and paid for my item, so no commission here(if they get any commission on in store sales that is?) but she trooped on and tapped away on her iPod to find and confirm my order was ready for collection. Once my item came out of, I imagine a rather large fort in the back of the store, she asked me if I wanted buy a bag for £0.05p. I know the government have introduced the much needed tax on plastic carrier bags but really Apple convert to paper bags or put a carry handle on the box especially as lots of your items are pocket sized and cost a small fortune!

Best service I’ve received in an apple store so far. I was helped by Dan on the Genius Bar who saw me straight away, quickly identified the issue and took me through the repair options. I went away for a few hours, before soon receiving a phone call to tell me my repair was completed!!! Really happy with the fast turnaround, as well as the helpful and polite service I received. Thanks!

New Apple store in the Glades. I didn’t even know that it was here until I had to take my Mother’s Mac Air in to be checked. It’s quite big, bright and full of staff. I managed to book a genius bar apt in the same day(In Bluewater you have to book at least 3 days ahead). Our apt was for 1.15pm, we turned up at 1pm and were told that we definitely would not be seen before 1.15pm. In fact t was well after 1.30pm, which was the only sour note — otherwise the guy who helped us was very charming, helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. the fault is going to be repaired under warranty and basically all is good. I would recommend it.
